Excuses, everyone has to deal with injuries. Blew a 14 point lead.

Excuses are OK for Hurley, not OK for Wojo. Learn the rules!

UCONN was missing superstar James Bouknight, who was averaging 20 and 5.  That's why they lost today.  Without him, they're probably not even mediocre, and they're *definitely* not top 25.  How do people not understand this?  They lost today because they didn't have Bouknight.

Just trying to track.
MU falls behind Georgetown but comes back to win...it because GU is garbage.

MU pulls ahead of UConn when they had Bouknight but lose the lead when another guy goes 5-8 3pt. It was garbage the MU lost to a team with a superstud.

MU pulls ahead of SJU but it was garbage that MU barely held on to beat a garbage team.

UConn pulls ahead of SJU but loses to the garbage SJU team because without their stud UConn is garbage but they had that superstar when playing MU.

Speaking of Hurley brothers, Bobby has laid a massive egg in the desert.

You're close, but not quite there, so I'll go paragraph by paragraph and help you out:

Georgetown is currently #148 in the NET rankings, sandwiched between Monmouth and Cleveland State.  In the movie Superman II, Clark Kent says that he's "never seen garbage eat garbage before."  If he's watched any Hoyas games from this season, that statement is no longer true.

I never said the UCONN game was a garbage loss.  In fact, before the game, I said that UCONN was a solid team and would be a tough matchup for Marquette.  Still, losing an 18 point lead at home against a team whose star player was hurt and completely ineffective during the second half wasn't great, especially since it was a pretty big game for Marquette.  That loss hurt, moreso since UCONN will likely take a nosedive now that Bouknight's out.

St. John's is currently #98 in NET, having moved up from #122 after beating a Bouknight-less UCONN.  The Huskies losing that game probably hurt Marquette a bit...MU dropped from 65 to 66.  So yeah, SJU is a garbage team with one good player, though I do think Posh Alexander has potential to be the next Super Dave Osbourne.

UCONN is a less than mediocre team without Bouknight.  If he can't return, they'll become irrelevant fast.  So in yesterday's game, you basically had two below average teams playing each other.  And people here want to beat their chests about it for some reason.

Look, if you want to defend all these crappy teams in the bottom half of the Big East, you do you.  But the bottom half of this conference sucks, and the best thing for the league is if Bouknight and Zegarowski can return, because they're the best and most important players on their respective squads.
