Rotation
« on: December 04, 2020, 11:51:37 PM »
So it is going to be 9 this year.    Theo, Garcia and Lewis splitting 80 minutes at the 4-5 depending on foul trouble and production.    FWIW, Garcia played the most of those 3 on Friday night.      6 players splitting 120 minutes at the 1-2-3.     Again, we can all pretty easily see the splits and recognize that the hot player is going to get minutes and the guy not playing defense or in foul trouble is going to sit.    I will be curious to see what happens when two of the three bigs get two fouls in the first half.   Will Cain slide to the 4 or will Wojo try to nurse minutes out of the bigs with two fouls.

Kind of.

Not sure what coaches play is here but I definitely thing he’s slow playing Perez. I think Oso will be light all year, and Akanno will have to earn every minute he gets, but I just don’t see it with Jose.

I think he will be playing key minutes at some point, not sure when it starts. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so. A guy that’s a grown man at 22 and avg 15ppg last year when Conf play rolls in and MU can’t score- I honestly think wojo is slow playing here but I’ve never seent it so it would be a first

Perez wasn't even in the lay-up line during warm-ups before the game. Might be an injury?

Koby, Theo, Cain, Carton, Lewis, Garcia are locks for main rotation players (20-35 min a game).

2 of the following will fill 7 & 8 (10-15 min a game): Greg, Sy, Dexter, Perez (I think Perez may be injured now). The 2 odd men out get 0-5 min.

Oso is a long shot to be any factor this year. Lots of DNPs.

8-man rotation for certain. We'll see how much PT Jose and Dex get.

Heck, I probably shouldn't have said "for certain." I mean, Wojo forgot all about Greg vs. OSU.

Dex was gonna slam it if he didn’t get fouled. Love it!

He was...but he hesitated. Don't know if that was a confidence thing or still working himself into game shape thing.
