How have I made it this far and seen no mention of Paper Boy?!?

And no Rampage?

My man! I also played a lot of Turbo, Tron, Breakout, 4 person Dungeons and Dragons, and, of course, Galaga. Man, I miss Pin Pan Alley.

I played so much Track and Field at Judge's back in the day.  Never used the comb though.

Good times. A pencil worked, too, but kinda hurt a little.

Time Pilot was an early favorite.

This thread is an example of why arcade bars are so popular

The current rumor is that several Konami titles are in development for release next year.  Simpsons is the universal favorite, but A1U may have inadvertently spilled the beans on Out Run as well (it briefly appeared in a drop down box on A1U’s customer service request page a couple weeks ago).

I think we’ll see Track and Field (another Konami title that can be packaged with HyperSports and T&F ‘84) at some point.  If A1U can figure out the 3P driver at a decent price, Off-Road would be on my list as well.

Incidentally, all Costco’s around me have sold out of NBA Jam and Super Pac Man... so these things are obviously catching on.  TMNT stock at Walmart is drying up as well.

However, Walmart does have Space Invaders in stock still for $149.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

It's not the full size arcade game, but a few years ago I bought the "New Atari" that looks like a miniature version of the original and has been upgraded with wireless joysticks.  It has 100+ original Atari games programmed including Space Invaders.

I've been looking into the possibility of getting an Arcade1up game for my basement lately and in the process came across the AtGames Legends Ultimate arcade, which is a full size cabinet with a larger screen and comes pre-loaded with hundreds of games. After looking into it more, there aren't really any games I would want on the legends ultimate, but it did get me thinking more about how great it would be to have access to more than just a couple games in one arcade system.

I have a raspberry pi set up with a few emulators and about 40 games I grew up playing, and I think having that set up in an arcade format would be awesome. I've seen some videos online showing how to convert an Arcade1up game/cabinet into a system driven by the raspberry pi, which sounds like a pretty cool idea, but it does require some work on my end. I also came across all kinds of custom built arcades people had put together that seem way better than any Arcade1up option. Again, that would require a lot of work on my part, though.

Has anyone ever put together a homemade arcade and/or modified an arcade to run a system like a raspberry pi? Any thoughts on whether the multi-game arcade option is worthwhile or if I'd be better off to just buy an Arcade1up from the store and be content with a simpler setup?
