Can't get to MKE for it, but would love to see the ceremony.

Will anyone be filming and posting?

Booing the all time leading scorer in school and conference history on his senior day.  Sounds about par for the course with this fanbase.  Makes it tough to be a fan knowing who else is.

My apologies.  Let me go to a sporting event and boo the people that I claim to be a fan of while they are on their way to a third NCAA Tournament appearance in four seasons!  That way I will NOT be the twat anymore!

Lol I didn't realize boos were clearly sent to only the intended. And certainly is doesn't effect the team that the coach they committed to and if you're an upper class man respect enough to stick with for the majority of their career, gets booed.

An intellectually intelligent (or hell, even just "competent") Marquette grad?  I was starting to lose faith that they were out there.

That's what the idiots who claim, "Well, we're booing Wojo not the team" don't seem to get.  If the players on the team went out there and balled out even in spite of their clearly incompetent, horrendous coach, there would be no booing of Wojo.  By booing Wojo you are booing the players.

And I can't believe people have to take time to explain this.  Anybody who thinks the players don't hear the booing and take that as directed towards them is as stupid as the booing itself.

Thanks for the sane, informational response, Titan.

Do we know what time the Senior Day ceremony starts?  At the end of last night's game they announced that we should arrive early for the pre-game ceremony, but I don't think they gave a time.

I am a little disappointed that they are going with all black uniforms for Senior Day. It's Leap Day...which is like the one day you're supposed to wear blue and gold in honor of Leap Day William. Also, eat rhubarb.

I had communication with the Athletics Office some time ago, and was told that the senior ceremony will happen 15 minutes before tipoff. Not nearly enough time, in my mind.

I agree with the need to focus, and also feel that it doesn’t give players (Markus especially) the attention they deserve. My hope had been that they would switch it back to after the game, as had been done not too long ago.

It is too bad. Hopefully, we win easily so they can pull the seniors to a nice ovation.

I think one year, we went to OT and there was a Bucks game that night, so it was a logistics nightmare. That doesn’t seem to be an issue this year.

Those speeches and montages are always special. I remember tearing up during Lockett’s speech.

I’ll have to basically tell myself it’s a 1 o clock tip to get there in time. With the Saturday lines from people closing out at the bar at the same time, it can be a bottleneck to get into Fiserv.

Yeah there's nothing better than the players having to celebrate their senior year after a loss and having the stadium empty out during that loss.

Before the game makes sense.

Both come with their downsides. I just think people can separate a tough loss to celebrate a great 4 year career. Compared to a quick ceremony equivalent to the Season Ticket Holder of the game.

Granted, I would feel differently if it was an 8 PM weeknight start.

Hilarious that the meat eating lovers of Scoop talk about “you mess with one you mess with them all” then respond to a female politely asking to refrain from using inappropriate female terms with, “hey how about this one!”

Apparently you mess with one you mess with them all...unless you’re a female and then you’re just here for what you can do to pleasure men.

In the game announcement just posted at gomarquette.com, MU says the seniors will be honored before AND after the game.  Guess they will have the guys speak after the game.

That would be great. I hope the fans stay regardless of the outcome. Very special players and people who have done a TON for the University
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Warm-ups before tip, don’t have the two teams wait too long when breaking a sweat so allowing a few minutes after and before intros?

I am really going to miss Markus.  What we've witnessed the last 4 seasons is incredibly unlikely to occur again in my lifetime at Marquette.  And I am 29.  We'll see more team success, but we'll never see anyone truly threaten his scoring record.  Amazing player, and an even better kid.  I wish him nothing but the best as he embarks on his dreams of being an NBA regular.  I wouldn't bet against him.  Truly astonishing he is still just 20 years old.

I will miss Sacar as well.  The epitome of player development and a team first guy.  Been a pleasure to watch him turn into a high level player, and wish him nothing but the best in whatever comes next.

Hope these two can finish their career with a deep run.  They both deserve it.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

You summed up my thoughts. Both guys have been really fun to watch grow.

He may have this record for a long time, because if another player that good comes along he will either go pro or go to a blueblood <ducks>

Milwaukee Auto Show is going on this weekend. Meaning downtown will be busy for parking spots.

Senior Day Honors Talented Trio

Before and after Saturday's matchup, the program will recognize the three members of its 2020 senior class - Sacar Anim, Jayce Johnson and Markus Howard.

New twist in the before and after.

Nicely stated. Looking forward to being there tomorrow to see them off with a big win.
