NET win
« on: February 12, 2020, 10:40:11 PM »
With under 2 minutes left Marquette was losing 70-60.

If I had to pick MUs two worst players today they would be Brendan and Markus, and I don’t think it’s close.

Aforementioned Markus scored 11 points in the last two minutes, MU loses 72-71.

Game goes from what was essentially a blowout all game to seemingly a “good loss” in the eyes of the computers. Instead of taking a hit in the NET for losing by more than 10 there may actually be no ill effects and perhaps even an improvement thanks to those last two minutes...

Some call it a lot of heart, but in the eyes of the computers it’s definitely a NET win.

What a strange game. Perhaps those final two minutes get Markus off the 3P shooting struggling hes had in BE play (shot over 40% tonight because of it!)

I’m not sure what to make of it all other than it’s better than a NET loss. Let’s get the Jays!

Also, methinks MU's late surge pissed off a LOT of gamblers!
