Great stuff. I love Markus. Good Markus,  Bad Marcus, Hero Ball and especially Nuclear Marcus.

I sure have loved having him at MU. I’m just soaking the rest of the year in. It has been a great 4 years.

The Butler game gave me flashbacks, but apart from that game he has been simply spectacular this year and completely underappreciated on a national stage.  We got guys talking about NPOY candidates that Markus is avg almost 2x as many points.

If MU finishes strong and Markus continues to lead the nation in scoring, I don't know how, unless you are a Hauser, you don't vote for him.

With Parrish jumping on the Markus train I predict other people are going to start as well.

Agreed, especially because we really haven’t seen the best he has to offer quite yet this season.

Hopefully he goes out with a bang, starting tonight

Good thing we don't have anybody like that in our fan base... wait

Yeah Butler fan backing his argument that Powell is more deserving that Markus with “eye test” is the best thing I’ve read today. Something about a recent ass whooping will do that. I love sour grapes.

The Pouty One already penned a letter to the committee; it was begrudgingly co-signed by his older brother.

"Penned"?  I had heard he used crayon for last year's Letter.

Don't understand how you can spell his name correctly and incorrectly in the same post.

Huh??!!

Dreaded eye test sand-chit. I’ve seen all the articles and stats, Brew is doing fantastic work. However, Markus hasn’t been as good as last year.

I know that because I’ve watched all the games, but if you don’t believe my eyes then here is a stat for you

In his first 11 conference games last season in which he played (hurt v Gtown) Markus shot better than 40% from 3 in 9 of 11 games.

This season in his first 11 conference games Markus has shot better than 40% from 3 in 2 of 11 games.

Add to that how his FT percentage has decreased and the stats show that he hasn’t been as sharp this season.

Again, he isn’t a cancer, he is amazing. I understand there is much more to basketball than shooting 3P and he is a star. I also understand his usage has increased and that teams game plan for him and that the conference is stronger this season. That doesn’t, however, change the fact that he was a much more effective 3P shooter (his most elite weapon) early in conference last year.

As I said, I think we haven’t seen the best of Markus yet this year. He is the leading scorer in the land but he hasn’t been as elite a shooter as he can and will be- here’s to hoping it begins tonight. All Marquette’s do reach equilibrium after all.
