Markus forcing shots didn't help - but the reason for this loss falls squarely on the coaching staff's willingness to let Butler's best player get his best shot possession after possession in the second half.

Imagine if we didn’t force Markus 28 footers the previous 5 minutes

Markus really disappears a lot in crunch time.
Unfortunately, he does not disappear in crunch time.

Wonder how Anim will enjoy seeing film of that “screen” Markus gave him?

If Markus takes a seat with 4 minutes left in regulation we win this game. I love the kid, but this is why sam hauser transferred, he needed to be reigned in late in this game

They should have adjusted and forced him to go left...perhaps staff wasn’t aware of his penchant to go right as a lefty?
How about just doubling him and forcing him to give up the ball?

Right. Close him out and live with the results.

You're 100% correct. Shades of that loss at Nova that blew the locker room up. And the Seton Hall BET game that vaporized it.

We had a higher eFG%. Butler outscored us by 16 from the FT line. eFG% no matter.

Great effort by the team. Koby wanted it tonight, no doubt. Markus went completely cold in the 2nd half and that's what cost us. Baldwin got hot, oh well. But Markus has to be better with shot selection.

Yet, made every big shot in the close game at Georgetown.

Donny Marshall really kind of calling Markus our at the half and again postgame. Markus last made shot was at 15 minute mark of reg..meaning he’d didn’t have a make for last 20 minutes of game with OT added.

Live or die with Markus. Love the kid though. Got tat take the occasional bad with all the good.

People trying to put blame on the only ball player we have on offense.  There is garbage for offensive options outside of markus!   Its uwm’s roster plus howard.

Baldwin was lights out.  Markus wasn't the same after taking a tumble.  Tip your cap and get em back in Milwaukee.

I don't think benching him would solve it but using him as decoy for sure. Ill advised shots at the end
