that was nasty, but markus handled it like a leader.  he knew what was going on.  takes a lot of character to let that one go

Yeah, the camera focused on Markus clapping at the call. The look on his face was pure focus and determination.

My wife and I were at the game and our guys really earned this win. The Hoya crowd went totally bonkers when they tied late in the game. No way that does not work on a team, no matter how many times they have experienced it. Kudos to Gtown for a good game and making our guys prove themselves. It's good for us in the long run.

We were fortunate to have 6 MU fans right in front of us and 3 more behind us a few rows and the comraderie was great! We ranged from '03 and '04 grads up to '60s grads behind us. Lots of high fiving with other MU fans in the corridors afterwards. MU82 was supposed to be stopping by to say hello at halftime but he was a no show.  ;D

Sorry about that, Snoop. I was downstairs and it would have been too much hassle to work through the crowd and get up to you and then back down for the second half. We shoulda traded phoners via PM so I could have texted you.

Enjoyed the game as much as you did. Mostly fellow Warriors around me, but we also had some fun interactions with a few Hoyas.

When it comes to buying a round, 82 will be MIA. All talk, no Viagra.

I've been known to buy a round or 2 (or even 3) ... but not at a sporting event when they cost $855 apiece! I won't even buy them for myself there.

And leave my blue pills outta this, please.

Maybe we need to start recruiting babyface big men. I definitely think Theo suffers from looking bigger, stronger, and tougher than anyone else on the court. Can we find a 7-foot BJ Armstrong look-alike?

We had one who graduated just last year.

Hey, no problem. That's why I added the smiley face. I figured you were opposite us as where most of the Marquette contingent was and yeah, it's really difficult to get around during half time and back to your seat before the 2nd half begins. We had a really pleasant Hoya fan near us who smiled and congratulated us on the win (as if we had anything to do with it!). Unfortunately I had another Hoya fan next to me who was an obnoxious, foul-mouthed drunk. I absolutely loved seeing his ugly expression when they went down. I have found the Hoya fans as a group (but not this a hole) as really good fans.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

Had a lot of fun with the Hoya fans near us. We Marquetters got awfully quiet when the 7-point lead was quickly blown, but the opposite happened over the last couple of minutes. That great play Wojo ran to get Markus that great 3-pointer really shut 'em up!!

Finally, as weird as this may sound, I think not having Ed Morrow today was a good thing.  He would not have been able to handle those two Georgetown centers with their size and don't think he would have been as effective as Jayce and Theo even playing carefully.  I think Theo played better position defense today when he got in foul trouble.

I hate that I have to agree with this, but I think its right.  I, along with most here, really like Ed and wish he was still with the team, but its hard to envision how he could see the court more.  He's not big enough to really bang with true 5's, and even though he's certainly athletic in his own way, when you watch him play, he doesn't play "long" if that makes any sense?  Most "athletic" 6'7" guys look like they can jump out of the gym, but Ed's physical style trades a lot of that foot speed and length for strength.  Which is cool as hell, but what is the type of matchup for Ed where you think "this is a great matchup for us"? True bigs can go over him, whereas other 6'7" wings can go around him. And he doesn't give you enough consistent offense to make any of that tradeoff worth giving him minutes.
