There is some new 'kitty kitty' something or other dance in Fortnite... must be related. I might get Netflix if the work schedule ever cools down from 70 hours a week... it's only $8.99 for a one TV at a time thing, yes?

Solid choices, LL

How old are your kids? Did they agree with your grades?

"Kids" are 25 and 22, LOL.  Son wasn't with us for Casablanca.  Generally they really liked them, though not sure if they would agree with order.  Interesting that my wife thought Rushmore was slow (I think Wes Anderson sensibility appeals more to me and the kids), while daughter made that comment  ("slow") about Casablanca (though she did like it).

On this tip, is The Third Man in rotation? It's a fun trip with a great soundtrack.

I watched that around 5 months ago for the first time.  Wild- Orson trying too hard with shadows and camera work,   but still very cool and I love the acting style of the day.

After running through so many new series and movies, I decided to get the family on some classics.  Rushmore, Casablanca and The Apartment, so far. B+, A, A+. (I had not seen The Apartment.  Outstanding.)

We watched the Apartment last night (on your rating recommendation).  Agree, quite good.  Phenomenal cast.  Read on wiki that Fred MacMurray was "accosted by women in the street who berated him for making a "dirty filthy movie", and one of them hit him with her purse."

Catching up on "my list" on Netflix. Last night was Spiderman: into the spiderverse. I thought it was outstanding.

The first time I saw it was sort of on accident. Whatever movie I was planning on going to was sold out, so I got a ticket to Spiderverse instead of going home. It blew me away. The original story, the casting, the visuals, the soundtrack - all incredible. I've watched it a couple more times since then and only liked it more each time. It's honestly one of my favorite movies now. Not favorite cartoon movies or favorite superhero movies, but favorite movies - period.

That's how I saw the South Park movie. I wasn't even a huge fan of the TV show, but it was either that movie or nothing that day, so we said, "what the hell." Laughed our arses off the entire time.

As for Spiderverse ... you are one of many who has given it a super-strong recommendation. I think I'll watch it this weekend if I can!

Let me know. I avoid all superhero movies (and TV, except for Jessica Jones), but if it is a really good movie, I'd give it a shot.

I don't mean to hype it up so much that you come away disappointed, but I personally really enjoyed it.

Agreed with this. Didn't expect it at all when I went to see it, but it ended up near the top of my favorite superhero movies list.

I haven't met someone that doesn't like Spiderverse.

Watched Spiderverse last night. I liked it, thought it was fun.

It wasn't even my favorite Spiderman flick, so it's certainly nowhere near being ranked on any all-time movie list for me. But I am not the least bit disappointed that I watched it, even after all your hype!

We've been watching (and in some cases re-watching) all the Grisham movies. So far Time To Kill, Pelican Brief, Runaway Jury, The Firm and (last night) The Rainmaker. Still have to watch The Chamber and the Client. So far consensus is Pelican Brief and A Time To Kill were the favorites.

Juxtaposing Fred from My Three Sons with Fred's movie roles...he could act!

Finished Brockmire.

Though most of its comedy was prepubescent and low-brow -- lots and lots of references to genitalia, poopoo and peepee -- I did laugh a lot, and some of the characters grew on me. Hank Azaria was a little annoying at times, but you could tell he put every ounce of himself in that role.

Episodes are short, there are only 8 per season, and there are only 3 seasons, so easily binge-able.

I've started re-watching the Friday Night Lights TV show.
Great and criminally underrated.

I love BCS but I don't think this season is available to me yet. Is this an odd problem with my Netflix account?

Nope. It won't be out on Netflix for quite awhile. 2021, I believe. You can purchase it on Amazon Prime Video, AMC Premiere, FuboTV or a a few other outlets.
