WSS Sports talks Marquette hoops

Tom Pippins and John Dodds preview the 2019-20 Marquette men's basketball season for Wisconsin Sports Stream. Some additional footage from the open practice that wasn't included in the MUBB video. Discussion of individual players (most of the roster mentioned at least in passing), the team's outlook and recruiting. A few highlights:

Ed Morrow
• Jump and spring back in his legs
• Looks to be the team protector/enforcer
• Has been working on face-up game

Koby McEwen
• Wes Matthews-type player
• Can play the point, the 2 or the 3
• There's an edge to him

Jayce Johnson
• Working with Stan Johnson on free throws
• Played his best ball in last season's Pac-12 tourney
• Stan: "One of the best offensive rebounders in the country"

Brendan Bailey
• Probably the biggest question mark
• Ceiling is unlimited, can be lights out, has to get in the flow

Sacar Anim
• Players/TBT alumni say Sacar is MU's most improved player
• Better driving to the lane and finishing

Its actually a very good session with retired local Channel 6 announcer Tom Pipines as host.  They have also done a number of these sessions on the Green Bay Packers.  While JD may be rather abrupt/wordy/authoritative/whatever on his board, he really does know his stuff when it comes to MU BB and GB FB.

I don't get why he's hitting up people for a sponsor? There's already great MUBB podcasts and none of them have sponsors to me knowledge. Why does he need money for everything including just talking about MU hoops?

Btw, these are video podcasts.  Some costs involved?  Wisconsin Sports Streaming is a third party.

I thought the video was pretty good. Nothing new. Yet, good for a person who will see it that doesn't follow MU basketball full-time.

It shocks me how some still give this guy any sort of credibility. He’s far and away the least insightful contributor within the Marquette basketball community.

Tom Pippens looks no different then he did 30 years ago.  It's creepy.

Ive seen him in person a couple times recently.  He’s showing his age.

Why would anybody complain about any MU basketball coverage?  If you don't like the people discussing MU basketball then just skip it.  But any coverage is good by me.

I'm looking for some articles from the Chicago Tribune from like 6-7 years ago.  Apparently we were on the cover or something.  IDK, my bonds-person has been telling me all about it.
