[Cracked Sidewalks] Kansas State Preview

The last time Marquette won both ends of a home-and-home came before this century. To change that, just gotta win at the Octagon of Doom. Let's take a look at the Kansas State Wildcats:

Thank you again for these.  It was perfect scheduling to have the home game last year when KSU was a better team.

Weber believes the best shot is not the closest but the most open.

Just out of curiosity, is this something he's on the record about or is this your interpretation?

“Closer isn’t always better,” Weber said of K-State’s shot selection earlier this season. “Open is better.”

And I've seen that in other articles, but that was the first source I found.

Not that I don't trust you, but still see TBD. Vegas betting implications for me if true though!

Big 12 schedule came out last week. Plus, MU does have it up.

Oh excellent, here I thought the only time I'd get to experience the joys of a million scrolling graphics and unreadable game details was during the Orlando invitational.  For me, there's nothing like being distracted by scrolling news updates and graphics plastered over half the screen during a game I thought I cared about.

This is a pretty standard opinion for many basketball coaches.  If you take a look at this, especially the green graph on page 2, you can see how much a close defender can impact the success of a shot versus a wide open one from further out.

The offensive struggles for K-State are definitely real. #192 in offensive efficiency per Pomeroy and shooting below 30% from deep. But they are really good at turning people over...

It's on ESPN2
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me.” Al McGuire

Sounds like B O'Connell is on the whistle. Bodes well for Theo to our bigs imho.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

That quote is from September. It was scheduled to be on ESPNU. It changed week ago to ESPN2. Always stay up to date on the top pinned thread of the Big East TV Schedule. Always moving parts.
