Season ticket holder dinner
« on: September 16, 2019, 07:44:25 PM »
Had the pleasure of attending the season ticket holder dinner tonight.  Randomly picked.  Sat with Symir Torrence.  Very well spoken young man.  Team seems to be very close and focused.  Spoke with Ed Morrow about the trip overseas.
Ed and Sacar both looking forward to playing Seton Hall

I did that event a couple of years ago. It's a fast event. About 1.5. Very nice touch that Marquette does. I wonder where that idea comes from.  ;)

We were told it started as an incentive to renew early and then you were entered.  No coaches just the players and support staff.  Sacar and Ed spoke. Both mentioned a new athleticism and improvement on both ends of the court

Yes, I do know where that idea comes from. I think they do about 13 different tables. Very cozy feel to it.

That dinner has gone downhill, imo.
Back in my day, they used to serve you real season ticket holders.
Now it's just the imitation stuff.

There are a couple I'd offer up to get this off the ground again

I thought it was a very nice event.  We sat with Dexter Akanno. Very nice young man.  He is from LA so we were preparing him for a Wisconsin winter.  He doesn't own a big winter coat.  We also gave him a history on Angelo's and McCormick Hall, all the historical basics.

The gloves are coming off already. Should be an interesting game at the Rock this season ( I live in Jersey).
