Marquette would have lost to any team in the tournament today.

Murray St. is better than a 12 seed. No question.

They are a 1 man team that had as many losses as Marquette in a mid major conference. Blew out Wojo’s team. Took the wrong approach trying to double team him rather than making him shoot. 15 assists!

Yeah I’m already tired of hearing about how great Murray St is. If they were that good they’d have rolled through this season. Today was about us being garbage more than anything

Agreed, but I don't hate them. Ja is a hell of a player, and I can root fir them to upset everyone else the rest of the way.

They weren't a one man team today, though almost everything derived from Ja. We got our asses kicked at every position on the floor.

Said that last week.  Matchups matter.  Always have, always will.  An 8 vs 9 would have been better, almost always to high major teams that are like 5th or 6th place teams.

When you get a 5 seed, you are playing a conference champion, under the radar, often with considerable talent.  Or you get a hot team that won its tournament.  I don’t know why our basketball experts here don’t get this.

"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me.” Al McGuire

We would have beaten St Marys. Murray won 11 straight, last over a tough Belmont and had the best guard in the country. So Murray clearly should have been a higher seed

Are we seriously complaining about the seed? Jesus. Every unnatural carnal knowledgeing matchup seems like it's a bad matchup for Marquette. We have to be able to be an elite team at some point....

Agreed. We lost 6/7 to finish the season. There isn’t a 12 or an 11 we would’ve beaten today. And that has nothing to do with a crapshoot

This is delusional. MSU won 11 straight but St. Mary's just won their conference tournament by beating  THE #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY. Good grief. SMU would have crushed us too.

Maybe your dumbest post ever. An 8 or 9 seed is preferable to a 5? LOL. Only a moron would trade being a solid favorite in game 1 and a pick 'em in game 2 for being a pick 'em in game 1 and a big underdog in game 2.

We were overrated and lucky most of the year. By March we weren't even a top 100 team. We don't beat anyone except maybe a 15 or 16 in this tournament.

Murray State is a mid major with a phenominal 1 guard who would start for any other D1 school in college hoops. Ja elevates every other 2 star on their team and maximizes their potential. He embarassed MU into looking like a CYO team competing against Golden State. In the meantime, Morant made millions today and became legendary.
