Truly an outstanding article -- must be read by all of us. I was a fan while Al was at MU and I was frustrated by our incessant failure to get past the Big 10 champ in the NCAA. It was hard then because our second game in the tourney was always vs KY or the Big 10 winner. Al was responsible more than anyone for the rule changes that put an end to that method of filling the brackets. But what he did is well know to MU fans.

Nice that he didn’t throw the kids under the bus. Like a certain fellow now coaching at Georgia recently did.
