Amazing what playing for the Knicks can do for your statline

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Rooting hard for Henry to get another 10 day.

Watched the game.  Knicks were getting clobbered early and Fizdale then played the young bench guys.  Huge comeback with Henry and Mitchell Robinson leading the way and in last minute with game tied, he hit the go ahead gaming winning three. I bet he played over 30 minutes and probably best game of his career.

Henry obviously didn't hear that Tom Oates proclaimed his career a "sad, cautionary tale."

Maybe Oates was talking about his own career?  :D

Tom Oates hates Marquette more than anyone else I know.

Sometimes it is just all about fit. Would be great if it works out and he has a long and productive nba career

Maybe going to the Knicks is a career extender for MUBB (Novak, Henry, Wes...to a degree).
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Did Wes even put on a uni?

Maybe it's finally starting to click for him. Henry is only 22 years old, younger than some players just entering the NBA.

He not only put on a uni, he was deemed the "best leader on the team" for like 2 games before getting his walking papers.

It also helps that he is getting an opportunity. It never felt like he got much of a shake in detroit, but recency bias could be clouding my judgment on that.

Awesome for Henry, I hope it lands the next job! I'm not sure the Knicks wanted him to play that well considering the Zion tank campaign!

Carl

He wasn't the one and done superstar shoe-in that he seemed like when he was 17 but I'll celebrate any MU player earning an NBA contract.  Hope this is a step towards bigger things.

wadesworld

It's one game on a 10 game contract. Hopefully it works out for him, but I'm not ready to say all he needed was a change of scenery.

In Henrys case its all about putting the ball in the basket from the perimeter, something i have never seen him do with any consistency.  Me thinks this is prolly a statistical outlier and that he will go right back to being a shooter that cant shoot.

So true about so many things in life, beyond the NBA.

I feel Detroit was always hovering around the 8 seed and Van Grundy was on the hot seat, so they needed more proven talent and couldn't wait to develop Henry. It didn't help that Blake Griffin was traded for and it seems like Leuer took other available minutes. Granted, they saw him in practice every day, so he may just not be good enough.

Totally agree with Sand-Knit. His value is being a big that can stretch the floor. If his jump shot isn't a threat, he's going to have a tough time getting minutes. Hopefully he can get some run with the Knicks and get signed for next year somewhere.

The Knicks have the Tank-a-thon going on.

Henry is 8 months younger than "sophomore" D'mitrik Trice.
