I wanna see Sammy in the old Kareem 'science mask' version before he switched over to the modern clear wrap around spectacles.

Hmmm, I wonder if the millennials even know what I'm talking about?

Maybe we could have avoided all of this if Wintrust had those eye washers in labs or he stole Xidias' specs

Any updates on Sam's eye?

Attempt at irony given that millennials probably don't know the show I used a GIF of either.

Guy on Dodds board said he saw a specialist and his vision has already started to return.

Seems like he is going to be ok.

Oh, they probably do, thanks to Nickleodeon reruns.

Likely just a scratched cornea which takes 2-3 days to heal. 1 of our dobermans scratched my cornea last month and it hurt like hell the 1st day but after 3 days was back to normal (although I still wouldn't have made 2 out of 2 at the line).

One of my buddies scratched my cornea with a stick when we were kids. He was trying to knock some ice off the downspout and hit my eye. Burned like hell whenver my eye was closed. Had to have the doctors put some special dye in my eye to see where the cut was. Most pain i have ever experienced. Took about a week to recover back to normal.

I heard Sam has already undergone surgery to have a bionic eye implanted. This will improve his vision to far above human norms. It features a 20:1 zoom lens, a built-in video camera (useful for film study) and advanced recognition and targeting capabilities.

As well as augmented reality to remove distracting fans from the field of view.

Speaking of which , I wonder how many years it will take for AR to be to the point where there has to be a rule against it... (in any sport).  Could make baseball and football more interesting!

Buddy of mine and I sat down over several beers a couple of months ago and figured out how you could implement a HUD(military's had AR for 40 years) in a QB's helmet. You could easily project something like route trees pre-snap to make the defensive reads easier.

Look at you, providing actual information on Scoop.  You must be new here.

Checked profile...you're definitely not new.  For the record, that was far more than anyone else knew about the situation.

Similar experience. Scratched it playing basketball. Pain was off the charts.

Can you cut your cornea from being poked through the eyelid? You could clearly see a mark on Sam's eyelid where the nail poked him so I don't think there was any contact with the eye, "just" they eyelid.

Forget his eye, is there something wrong with this guy. He seems off his game. Could it be his leg/hip? Any ideas?

He's moving well on defense. Just a bit off on offense. Don't read too much into it
