The problem is writers and coaches don’t have the time to go through every team and play the transitive property game. And if you do that with other teams we’d look worse too. For example, Maryland beats IU, who smokes us. So should they jump us? We’ll be around 16 and that is completely fine.

Agreed, and it was weird having Indiana and St John's right behind us and buffalo right ahead of us. The good timing we might have is that last week was the first time since Wade that most people I've talked to outside Marquette circles saw the Creighton clips. My guess is that translates to many writers and coaches also catching their first real glimpse and wondering who else MU has played, and not a bad day to then have lville drilling unc. Probably a couple of spots optimistic and maybe 14 is really best case, but a lot of teams losing in front of us. Will be better to have a second BE team in Nova ranked as well, but scary how good they looked today.

Apparently I think more like the coaches, since the ranking I listed was within 1 spot for each of the top 17 in their new poll except for having Gonzaga at #7 and Coaches put them #5. My one off included flipping my home town Auburn and Marquette in the 12 & 13 spot

   Virginia (13)   flipped 1 & 2
   Duke (6)
   Tennessee (7)   flipped 3 & 4
   Michigan (6)
Gonzaga   I put them 2 lower than the coaches
   Michigan State   1 higher
   Virginia Tech   1 lower
   Kansas   1 lower
   Texas Tech   1 higher
   Nevada   flipped 10 & 11
   Florida State
   Auburn   flipped 12 & 13
   Marquette
   Kentucky   flipped 14 & 15
   North Carolina
   North Carolina State   1 lower
   Buffalo   1 higher
   Houston   2 lower
   Oklahoma   1 higher
   Ole Miss   3 lower
   Villanova   2 higher
   Maryland   exact
Mississippi State   did not include, but agree
   Iowa   3 higher
Indiana   included Purdue instead of them, ultimate insult!
