210 points.  51% and 56% FG.

Defense is time wasted you could be scoring.

Also, WOW.

Yeah. Marquette gonna struggle against 4 guard teams. St. John’s, IU and Creighton. Tough matchups. Nova going to be a problem. Not sure how many other big east teams play that style.

At no point in that game did I expect a win

Since we never led in regulation (don't think we were even tied except 0-0 until Sam's shot) I think most of Warrior Nation was with you.

I’ve re-wound and watched the Hauser 3 probably 50 times now. The off ball sideline ref did the most emphatic 3 point/it’s good pump I’ve ever seen.

It worked out so well that Creighton didn’t call timeout there after their awful no touch inbounds. Their defenders are clueless on the play. Two Creighton defenders are sub free throw line as ball is coming in. Sam immediately sees this, splits out and calls for the ball. Howard’s high pass actually lets Sam get his feet set (albeit off balance).

I’m sure I’m not the only one who jumped/screamed when that went in.

All of MU's inbounds plays under their own basket involve Markus (or Chartouny if Markus is sitting) taking the ball out.   That was a HUGE problem.   Markus threw up a prayer toward Sam and he answered it.   I guaran-damn-tee that Wojo is going to put in a 1 second left out of bounds play that has somebody other than Markus taking the ball out.

I have some apologize to some neighbors for yelling so loud.

I was shocked to see Markus putting the ball in play instead of catching it. I wondered if Wojo was outcoaching McDermott, who assuredly was setting up a defense to prevent Markus from taking a shot.

And the first D1 player since Jodie Meeks (Kentucky 2009) to score 40+ in three games in the same season.  And Markus has 17 more games to add 40 point games.

@JayBilas 47m
Markus Howard is like a video game. Damn.

Is that the guy who scored 50 in multiple seasons before Markus?

I have some apologize to some neighbors for yelling so loud.

My daughter was doing homework in our kitchen with my wife helping her, my son was playing Fortnite. They all ran into our family room to see if I was ok from screaming.

I like to imagine duanewade furiously deleting an intricately crafted thread ripping into the team that took him at least a half hour to write.

He's not capable of an intricately crafted thread.

We really stole one there.  Unbelievable game played at a very high level.

I was just thinking about how they basically let Chartouny get 2 offensive rebounds and lay it in to cut it to 3 with one second left.  Then we take a timeout which is probably when they planned to just throw it down to the other end.

Wojo with Homer post-game (paraphrasing) …

We have this thick play book we spend months learning.  Then Markus gets that look in his eye and the playbook becomes throw it to Markus and let him create.

Its been a bad week for ranked teams this week. Keep riding the wave at the FF against Hall and we will be pretty pleased come Monday.

See you all at the game!

I ran out of bourbon in OT.

And I had a Decent amount.

Wow

Love this. I poured 3 fat fingers of Makers after Sam’s three.  What a win!
