NCAA Tournament Tickets

This is the first time I am looking to go to the tournament to see Marquette. The NCAA has the ticket exchange and I could also use sites like stubhub, etc.

However, is there a way to obtain tickets from Marquette? Are they alotted a bank of tickets? Appreciate any recommendations from those with past experience.

Email was sent to season ticket holders with link to request tickets.  MU does get allotment and you could certainly reach out to the ticket office to see if any remain after requests are filled.

Also...depending on where you're willing to go..I'd bet anything the farther away, the better chance you'll have of getting tix thru MU. Des Moines...I'd say almost no chance..Places like San Jose, Salt lake City, Hartford, you have a much better chance I'd say.

I mean you can, but I’ve gone to mutiple NCAA first rounds. Got in for $30-40 each session. These places NEVER sell out and usually not even close. I would wait til day of if I were you.

Well, if price is your determining factor, usually true.  If you want to sit with fellow MUers, go through MU. In Greenville, with South Carolina and Duke in the mix, going through MU was the better option, for instance, based on inventory. Same in Louisville with Kentucky and MSU in our pod.

So, location and opposing teams in your pod and how they travel are factors to consider.

I think that also depends on the venue. The BC usually sold out I think when we hosted. In 2003 we just bought from the venue in Indianapolis. The only time we ever bought through MU was the FF in Greensboro in 1974, when we were students.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with fjm.  Being in the official section(s) is worth it.  Some of the greatest basketball experiences in my life are those memories.

I don't remember the exact deadline for submitting the request but it's certainly within 24 hours after the bracket is announced.  MU then goes through its loyalty points calculation and you are notified.  Tickets are then routinely picked up at Will Call although this may have changed as electronic ticketing becomes increasingly prevalent.

Yep. I was in the MU section against UNCC and UNC in '77. Given that 90% of the Omni was filled with people from North Carolina, that made a sweet moment even sweeter....
