He is taking over at Greek power Panathinaikos who fired their coach today after a poor EuroLeague showing.

Three notable Panathinaikos roster mentions:

**Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Giannis' older brother.

**Keith Langford, leading scorer for Kansas in the 2003 national semifinal.  (Who has put together a pretty notable European basketball career.)

**Matt Lojeski, Racine St. Catherine's graduate, who after finishing up his college career at Hawaii in 2007, has also put together a decent European career.
