SOTG Sam is the best player on the team and it showed again tonight. Markus most improved. Theo and Morrow had solid play. Joey made freshman mistakes but looking forward to his continued growth.

Wojo said in post game show the game plan was to work the ball into the paint and kick it out. Maybe he needs to recruit players with that skill set OR rework his game plan.

I’ll be blunt. Howard was a turd most of the game

The Hausers

Howard was a turd?  I mean..what exactly are people expecting?  A couple bad drives in the first half, but I thought he played just fine otherwise.

Markus slightly over Sam. Deciding factor is the big plays late

Sam, by a good margin.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Markus. It was in his hands when we needed a bucket. Stepped up big time.

MU's initial gameplan to get the ball inside to Theo, who made some and had plenty of shots. Markus job to get him the ball.
Sam kept MU in the game at halftime.

Markus had 18 second half/OT points.  I vote for Markus.

Sam.  Mr. Consistent.  Rarely makes a mistake.  Could you see this team if the rest had his BB IQ?  Sam kept Louisville from blowing us out.

Just an aside but freshman joey hitting those free two throws in Brooklyn with Kansas and Tennessee ready to come on the floor and  mack icing him about three times, was pretty impressive.

Sam.  They would not have been in game without him. He was only reliable guy offensively for huge part of game.

Honorable mention to his brother

I don't know about player of the game, but play of the game should go to Morrow. At the end of the game he blocked, rebounded, and passed the ball all while falling out of bounds!

Markus' stats look way better than I anticipated when I looked at the box score. Gut says Sam due to an efficient 22 and 7.

I'm fine with Markus too.

looks like either we have co-sotg or default to wojo for calling the right plays, making the right subbing, etc.

Note: jc wasn’t in the game down the wire...hmmmmm.  Hate to say this, but he doesn’t seem to be fooling anyone.  Very methodical. Hopefully he will catch on and help us down the stretch

Pretty sure he didn’t get on the floor in 2nd half or OT at all. And he didn’t deserve to be out there. He was awful

This one was hard but I gotta go with Sam.  He was solid and steady, and on the money when Markus was being double teamed.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Can't go wrong with either Sam or Markus. Sam kept us in it in the first half. Markus helped us win it when it was winning time.

I counted two bad shots for Howard and one TO. I think one of your two best players is allowed that when going for 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.

That ranked up there with Danny Davis' TD catch last week.

I’m surprised by the lack of love for Theo. He was the inside presence we have been missing. He forced their defense in and defended the rim well. Seemed to me many more minutes than usual.
