Offensive rebounding
« on: November 07, 2018, 05:31:02 PM »
We rebounded the crap out of the ball on the offensive end last night.  I understand that UMBC isn’t a great rebounding team but the way Cain, Theo, and others crashed the glass was really impressive.

Certainly we were bigger, thicker, we'll see against Kansas.
Theo has a presence...though one of his non-dunk shots was way off.
Right about Cain...feel he did a lot in a little time. he got 15min I see.

I wish I know how good UMBC really is...I know there is a kenpom out there...but we need to play Indiana. Need that test.

Theo = position and strength
Cain = bounce

Those two did well.

 Theo had 5, Cain 2, Joey 2, Sam 1 and 3 team. Total of 13, with a lot of them in the second half when UMBC seemed a little worn down. OR% was 34.2% - very good, but similar to last year's opener (33.3%).

Ed is a guy who can make us a good OR team, but we didn't see it last night. It'll be fine.

I think our offensive rebounding should be improved, but not sure it'll be by a ton unless Ed goes crazy and Theo has several repeats of last night.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.
