New theme music for FOX/FS1 college basketball. You might have heard of it years ago.

I don't give ratings numbers too often on here. I'm sure most don't care. That said, FOX did have a nice day going up versus CBS's coverage of the Army/Navy Game and other solid hoops games on ESPN.
Kentucky/Seton Hall (11:00, FOX): 1.512M
Louisville/Indiana (1:30, FOX): 1.431M
Wisconsin/Marquette (4:00, FOX): 1.204M

I find the ratings info very interesting.  How does that compare to a typical high competition Saturday?

Also, is the lower rating likely due to less interest or do the early games generally have higher viewership?

Last season, FOX Sports averaged around 881K in viewership for 27 games last year

FOX Sports trends to start their day, with a team that is a draw. Like Kentucky in basketball as they did on Saturday or Ohio State in football. Then the folks are with that network and stick with it. If the Wis/MU game was a 11am game on FOX, that game would of had 500k in viewership.

FOX on Saturday went up versus Army/Navy college football game on CBS. It got a strong number. 8.050M. The Army/Navy game is the tied for the 7th highest watched college football game this season. Also, an FCS playoff college football game Colgate/NDSU on ESPN at 11am got 1.806M.

Here is more numbers from Saturday......
Saturday 12/8:
Kentucky/Seton Hall (11:00, FOX): 1.512M
Louisville/Indiana (1:30, FOX): 1.431M
Michigan State/Florida (11:00, CBS): 1.276M
Wisconsin/Marquette (4:00, FOX): 1.204M
Yale/Duke (4:30, ESPN): 1.134M
Georgetown/Syracuse (2:30, ESPN): 777K
New Mexico State/Kansas (7:30, ESPN2): 775K
Notre Dame/UCLA (9:30, ESPN2): 466K
Pittsburgh/West Virginia (11:00, ESPN2): 435K
Xavier/Cincinnati (1:00, ESPN2): 399K
UCONN/Florida State (5:30, ESPN2): 353K
South Carolina/Michigan (11:00, FS1): 266K
Clemson/Mississippi State (3:00, ESPN2): 242K
