Was hoping for a weekend game @ DePaul, which means more MU fans attending in Chicago.  Don't think I'll make the trip to McCormick Place on a weeknight.  With the exception of not-so-bad sightlines in the Wintrust Arena, everything else is a nightmare down there (parking, concourse/concessions).  Wish they were still playing at Rosemont.

I was referring to Home games...I don't mind 8PM road games at all!

I can't believe the Big East didn't check with your personal preferences before setting their schedule.

Really good schedule from a convenience stand point. It's pretty balanced from beginning to end. Roughest part of the schedule is the middle: at Xavier, at Butler, St. John's, Villanova, at DePaul, Butler, at Providence, and at Villanova.  Could easily go 2-6 during that stretch if we're not careful.

If they go anything close to 2-6. Or even anything close to 4-4, then this isn't anywhere NEAR as good of a team as everyone thinks they will be.

Exactly.  We damn well better be powering to something that looks like 13-5 overall.

Boozemon Barro

Obviously they didn't take into account wedding season with all these weekday night games.

jsglow

One other thing.  We ain't getting dumped off national TV this year like happend I think 4 conference games last year.   8-)

Boozemon Barro

Ugh we have a game the same night the Euro speed skating championships start on January 6th. Who the hell comes up with these schedules???

Maybe I missed it but is there a comprehensive schedule yet with the start times and channels?

2-6 would be bad, but 3-5 or 4-4 would be acceptable during that stretch. I think our 6 toughest conference games are in that 8 game chunk (Nova x2, Butler x2, at X, at PROV). I would not be surprised to see us go 8-2, 9-1, or even 10-0 in the other 10 games.

I do really REALLY like the fact they have ZERO 8PM weeknight starts this year...that's a HUGE bonus

Actually six weeknight games starting 7:30pm or later -

UMBC 8pm
North Dakota 8pm
Butler 8pm

UTEP 7:30pm
Buffalo 7:30pm (Friday)
DePaul 7:30pm

The Lens

As a father of 3, I love the 8pm games.

Kids: Dad, can I go to the game with you?

Me: No it's too late

See how easy parenting is when you play the back end of a doubleheader.

Also, big props to MUJersey.  He calls the Big East Office, demands schedule and look what we get, the schedule.  MUJersey, can you call Pace Mannion in the greater PHX area and request his son attends MU?

Those are always more fun on the weekends.  I'll probably stay downtown after work.

Hate to say that I miss the Horizon/Allstate, but Wintrust is the worst basketball experience I've been to as an adult.

I have hopes they'll learn from their mistakes and improve. I think there had only been a couple high-attendance events before that game.

Thought I heard several years ago, that DePaul requested to NOT play MU on a Saturday afternoon/evening whenever possible, because they know then the place would be taken over by MU fans.

I think DePaul did request to have their home games against MU during the week after the Wade years, but I thought they eventually went back to the Brewers/MillerPark way of thinking..."Who cares who the fans are cheering for?  Just fill the place and take the money!"

I guess after beating MU at their new arena last season, they think they don't need to work that way anymore.
