I used to.  It was the called the Chicago Metro Area Baseball league, I think.  It was fun.  We typically had 1 game during the week and then played a DH on Sat or Sunday.  The competition was pretty solid, but varied by team.  There were some teams that had former minor leaguers and college players, and others that were just friends hanging out.  Honestly lost touch with the guys that ran the team I played on.  Sorry.

Nice!  My dad and I umpire there.

If you live in the northern suburbs, Franklin really isn't too bad of a drive, and they have a great facility.

Sweet, the umpires there are very good. You may have seen me before, my brother and I both play. He's the old minor league catcher that looks jacked as crap. I'm the smaller guy who played outfield in college who usually sits on the bench and only steals bases.

Is it just a coincidence that this thread popped up at the same time as the other thread got going?

Tim?  Is that you?

Don't think Chicago men's league are exactly AA, even for the Mets system.

According to most on the other thread, neither is Tebow.

Realistically, if he hadn't gotten injured, he probably would have been a September
call-up
