Marquette Memorobilia For Sale.
« on: August 08, 2018, 03:05:12 PM »
I have an extensive collection of Marquette Basketball Memorobilia including game programs, media guides,
posters, pocket schedules, post cards etc. Largely 60's, 70's and 80's. Please send me a message if interested
in items from certain years. Lots of great history, great teams and great coaches and players. My Father who passed away in 1989 was the MU Trainer for 38 years, and my Mother passed last September at 96. I have both Home and away programs. Who wouldn't want to own the South Carolina program when Bob Lackey squared off with Tom Riker and both benches emtied to join the fight?

Have you considered donating them to Marquette's archives?
Have some patience, FFS.

I may consider that down the road. I also have lots of Marquette annuals from the 30's, 40's, 50's 60,s and 70,s. Any ideas?

When people hear Marquette Memorabilia, they immediately think Basketball, but there was also Football until 1960. Marquette produced some great players such as George Andrie(Dallas Cowboys), Ron Drzewiecki(Chicago Bears), and Gene Ronzani(ChicagBears), to name a few.

They also had some notable coaches such as Red Dunn(Packers Hall of famer who played for the Golden Avalanche in the 1930's, and Johnny Druze(a member of the Seven Blocks Of Granite alongside Vince Lombardi at Fordham.

I have programs from 1935-1960, some pocket schedules, and some miscellaneous items.

That's quite a treasure trove you have there.  Even if you are not inclined to donate these items outright, I think you should at least contact the archivist at Marquette and at least give them an opportunity to purchase them.  They might have a budget for things like this.
Have some patience, FFS.
