Fired because he demotivated everyone at the site.

Spoken like a true Big East player.  Right on the talking points.

I haven't been there since before the renovations, but back in 2009 MSG was kind of crappy.  I expected much nicer.

That being said, I still love that the Big East plays in the Most Famous Arena in the World.

I was there in 2016 for the 2K Classic. It's really nice. The concourse are beautiful and highlight the historic events and teams that have played there. The transition from street to subway to arena is excellent. Plenty of concession stands with great selection and service. I hadn't been there before, but I felt the remodel must've knocked it out of the park.

I've been to the Garden a dozen or so times. Honestly, I think its one of the dumpiest stadiums in all of sports. I love the atmosphere, history, and love that MU gets to be a part of that history but its one of the older stadiums and you can tell. I equate it to Wrigley, great history/atmosphere, but not the greatest stadium.

I've only been there once, but that was my impression as well.

MSG has seen a lot of basketball history, but it may not have much of a future. It's the oldest sports facility in New York, and could be demolished to make room for a future renovation/expansion of Penn Station.

No problem.  It's New York...if they demolish it, they'll simply replace it with another The World's Most Famous Arena(R)

Edited to add:  If it hasn't been done already, Marquette should register "The World's Second Most Famous Arena" for the Al.  Then, once they demolish MSG, they'll be the successor to the throne.

MSG is awesome.  I can't think of anything I didn't enjoy there.  Great sight lines and acoustics, concourses were spacious enough to be able to move around, concessions were quick moving, lighting was great, nice scoreboard.  I guess I haven't been in a whole lot of NBA arenas, but it was by far my favorite that I've been to.

After spending $1B to completely redo the place in 2013, they'd need to spend at least $5B now to build a new for Jim Dolan.  Good luck with that.

A coworker who has Bucks season tickets invited me as his guest to tour the new arena on Saturday morning. I'm not a lawyer, but, based on my reading of the Release form I have to sign, if I were to meet my demise on the tour, not only will my wife not be able to sue anyone, I think she may be required to pay of the construction loan for the Bucks owners.

I am not faulting there early departures.....what if Chones, Lucas & McNeill all stayed in school and there was a season we had then playing together?

I think you might have the wrong thread.

Good City Brewing is going to be a part of the new entertainment block. I'm excited for that and feel that will be a common spot for me pre and post game.

The Garden is great. I don't think it at all feels like its age. They could make it easier to move between levels, and the endline nosebleeds need some tweaking, but otherwise it's great. Wrigley, you are correct about, and nobody should argue that.

It's up there with Guaranteed Rate.
Fiserv would be wasting its money for branding benefit as a business-to-business firm, but so be it.  Though, would be a nice long-term community investment for the City of Milwaukee.

You keep saying this but I'm sure Fiserv people understand what they are doing. If you read the article it touches on why B2B firms might use such a strategy.

Did he actually get a quote from FISV?  He says they denied but he doesn't cite anything in the article.

Also, if FISV moves it's HQ downtown that's a huge win.

Its still a loose connection.  Having a Fiserv Center is not going to increase its brand as its already so very well known among potential clients.  Hard to prove any real return on investment.  But, it would be good for Milwaukee as a long-term community investment by Fiserv.  If they do it, will be interesting to see where the new corporate HQ ends up.
