I’ve done this a few times and the lesson is always this: bring less. Basically, pack one big suitcase, a small one, and be on your way. Everything else you’ll be able to buy with relative ease (fairly cheaply too). You do NOT want to be lugging crap that you don’t even know you’ll use around in a country you’ve never lived in. Pay the extra $ for a furnished apt or better yet, link up with a roommate or two in an apartment that’s already furnished - should be plenty of folks doing the reverse of what you’re doing and looking to rent their room for the semester. Plus, it’s an easy way to make new friends. Everything else you can (and will) sort out along the way.

And don’t forget to see basically all of Western Europe while you’re there. Happy travels.

I'd go to the bar and meet a hot rich chick, then shack up with her for a bit. -
This lol
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
