I believe I would rather have had a ref make a ridiculously bad call to give DePaul the win than to have DePaul to deserve to beat MU like they do here

muhoops1

At Wintrust.  Subpar effort by team.  Great effort by MU Fans.  BTW the most inefficient stadium I have EVER attended.  Absolutely atrocious at moving and serving attendees.  Only positive the bathrooms were empty because 90% of the fans were in line!

DePaul up 17 on rebounds, 18 to 6 on offensive boards.  Ballgame.
This one may have killed their bid

19-6 on the offensive boards.

I want to listen to the postgame interview but I'm afraid I would hear Wojo say they tried hard and gave good effort and objects in my house would be irreparably harmed

We won the eFG% battle by 8%.  We will possibly lose by double digits.

Does wojo have the balls to show up for the post game? ::)

Fred Garvin

I wonder if Marcus was unable to play and we played Zone would we have won the game

Do you know how F'n disgusting it is losing to DuhPaul?? Absolutely inexcusable..congrats to the team and Wojo on ending your season with a horesh*t game against a HS team. Well done.

I have grown tired of our relatively regular losses to DePaul.

This is all I'm thinking. It sucks wanting one of your best players to be unavailable because your coach apparently is too stupid/stubborn to know how to use them correctly.

How he didn't learn this obvious lesson is an extremely worrying sign for any future coaching success.

Some of us were tired of Wojo last year already...others just keep slobbering all over him and will say "wait until next year".  ::)

Why not, he'll still get paid for five minute of softball questions and coach speak answers.

Pin to the top of the board.  End of story.  Completely deviated from the formula that had worked the last two games.  I mean WTF?  Wojo forced into playing just one of the smalls in first half and we were okay.  BUT, Wojo played maybe 7 possessions of zone the whole game, and reverts back to the small ball lineup and we get blown the F out in the second half.

Need a spark... maybe put Froling in

Boy, Harry is glued to the bench. We got killed on the boards and a 6'11" guy can't get one minute. Something strange there.

Even if Markus wasn't available, and Rowsey was sitting, this is DePaul..Shouldn't need either to be a glorified HS team

How about that, Iceman. Lost to a high school team......

Earl Tatum

Losing to DePaul is UNACCEPTABLE. They wanted it more.

MUEng92

Wojo showed up for the interview.  Immaturity was the issue.
Some of the most god awful turnovers he's seen from this team
On him to find ways to play with more maturity
Defensive key was to box out
Offensive key was to value the ball

I'm not a transcriber sorry

So he went back to the well again with the "youth excuse."

Maybe a few guys will transfer after this season & he can use the youth excuse again next year...plus maybe we'll only have 9-10 scholarship players and he can throw in a "lack of depth excuse" too for good measure.

The way he said it seemed as close as a coach comes to ripping his players.  The context/voice did not come across as an excuse.  More as disgust

Afroman

He has said "it's all on him" a bunch of times this year. Maybe find someone who knows how to coach?
