Well, Butler played perfect, we played what I thought was close to our worst half all season, and we are only down 6. Not so bad.

After an ugly middle of the half, we are fortunate to be down only 6. Great push by the boys in the last two minutes. Martin picking up his 2nd seemed to be the key.

the splash brothers have not done much and MU is down 6.

Awesome last few possessions there. Cutting the lead to 6 feels good heading into halftime. If Butler reverts back to their mean shooting, we should be in this thing the whole way.

Hauser with 16 and Howard with 0.

Butler shooting 64%, lots of layups....At least three with Harry coming out to top of key and not getting back in time. Even announcers said same. At one point Butler was 8 straight baskets.

Butler with six blocks and only two turnovers.

MU with only five fouls, but two on Markus. For them, that is really good.

Markus is not forcing bad shots. I think he will come out of the box in the second half strong.

At half, Butler 15-21 in the paint (71%). Marquette is 7-17 in the paint or 41%. Bulldogs 17-23 from two (74%). Love this New Age defense.

Theo has really progressed since non-conf season, although that one shot was something I would have thrown up at the Rec Center

Expect more minutes from Elliot and Caan in the second half to boost their defense. Their length will slow down Butler's inside game.

Defense against Seton Hall was good because of constant switching of defenses, quantity over quality to keep them off balanced. I think that might be the strategy we need to embrace
