Practice for Marquette Employees

Did anyone else go today? Interested in your thoughts. Left early with my little one but was amazed at the tempo and variety of drills as well as energy the team had.

I did not go. Nice way to get staff into MU hoops. They were giving tickets away for American or Xavier. Nice idea in trying new things.

A friends of mine went.  I asked what they thought of Froling, and apparently he was "hitting all the threes."

If that's true, this already dangerous team just became a million times moreso

I think your math is a bit off.

I'm a little concerned that Froling might be "allergic to the paint" despite being 6'11".   We could use a banger.

Love the thought that next year we have Morrow, Bailey and Joey coming in - lots of bigs with Morrow as our banger.  A grad PG would complete the puzzle!

If he can hit 3's at a ~40% clip next to Howard, Rowsey an Hauser, the paint will be wide open and this offense will be nearly unstoppable at times. As long as he can provide a little post defense that should get us in the tourney

Next year MU will have the tallest team in history,  everybody 6'7" or 6'8" or bigger except Anim, Howard and Elliott.  Not sure how quick they will be other than
Morrow.  Curious to see if Eke can help or Bailey.  Any word on Eke's back surgery?  It would nice to get a combo guard that is 6'3" or taller, to bad on Grimes.
Maybe Ramey will see the opportunity.

I think 40% will be a bit unrealistic for Froling.  Although it is possible, I think it is more likely that he performs from 3 at the level of a Lazar Hayward or Katin Rheinhardt, in the 36-38% range.

Ramey has already set up all of his visits. MU isn't getting 1 so looks like we can move on from him.

A friend of mine went and she said that the practice consisted of Wojo rapidly clapping his hands, screaming "faster, faster, faster" as the team ran laps.  Shouted "make it, make it, make it" as the team shot 3s.  And "win, win, win" during down time.

She confirmed that Froling was indeed on fire and Wojo responded "good, good, good!!" after each drained three.

Was the team cuddling or canoodling during the practice breaks?
