Tyko is ubiquitous on both ends of the floor!  Hart's injury might give him the opportunity to play big mins moving forward.

MuggsyB

Tyko keyed that win.  They were down 17 in the 4th.   He's a +26.  :)

Shooter McGavin

Wonder why we got two 2 seeds?  Hmmm?

The main criticism of his big night the other night was efficiency.  Well he cleaned that up in a big way today. What a week he's had. Seizing the moment is gonna potentially change his whole NBA career

Too bad he can't read all of the nice things being written about him.

Kolek was incredible, and they actually were chanting his name at the Garden. If he can shoot near 40% from 3 - and I think he could if he keeps getting consistent playing time - he becomes all the more valuable, because his court vision and passing skills are elite even at the NBA level.

Brown and the Knicks brass are gonna have some tough decisions to make when Shamet and McBride get back. Someone's gonna have to get traded, maybe even Kolek.

It's all about tickling the twine from distance for Tyko.  If he can get that percentage up, say in the 38% range, look out.  We're talking about a dime machine that automatically makes teams better on the offensive end.

Good point.  It could very well lead to a lucrative 2nd contract.  Something that Johnny Davis will never see btw.

Hauser went 7-8 from 3 as the Celtics routed the Pacers. Kam had 4 points and 2 assists in 7 minutes for Indy.

Oso with 4 pts and 9 boards in 21 min through the start of the 4th.  But has a team leading +/-, he's been playing well within the offense.

There is always a place for athletic and quick near 7 footers in the NBA, especially ones that pass and see the floor as well as Oso. I won't be surprised in the least to see him play 8-10 years in the league and find his way into being a regular starter in that next contract spot.

Gonna be fun watching him and Kolek grow in the league the next few years

Oso needs to stay healthy, which isn't always easy with the tall folks. Really nice to see that his game translated so well.

Ya. If he could learn how to shoot, he'd be locked in for a 10 year career. Crazy how his shot fell off after high school.

Still a lot to like from him.

McBride back for the Knicks. He played 18 minutes, to 12 for Kolek. TK made the most of his time, hitting two 3s and dishing out 5 assists.

But it's probably not great for Tyler that, as soon as McBride returned from injury, he got more PT.

Kam with 18 minutes for the Pacers last night. As the injuries mount and the season continues to implode (worst record in the league now) Kam should get even more minutes.

Kolek is on the injury report for tomorrow's game with a (probable) sore ankle, may be why he was rested a bit.

He's just going to lose minutes.

McBride is back. Shamet is close to back. Hart will be back.

He will be lucky to get like 8 minutes a game.

You are correct. OG was also out a few games which upped Kolek's minutes.  Shamet be back in a week.  Rumours abound now with Knicks eyeing on backup forward, specifically Bey from New Orleans. Will Shamet or Kolek be part of a package before deadline.

I think Shamet can veto a trade so he's probably stuck there.

Would be Kolek or McBride that would have to get traded probably.

Early in the year, with McBride, Shamet, and Hart all healthy, Kolek was averaging over 10 min a game in October.  That fell off to start November, but he's been big the last month.  He won't still be getting 20 min+, but Mike Brown has shown he is always tinkering with rotations, lineups, and using a lot of bodies.  I would be shocked if a healthy Kolek is suddenly playing under 10 min.  I think Brown sees a new way to play him with Brunson, with Brunson off ball, in particular that will get him run alone in a way that wasn't there early on.  Neither Shamet or McBride distribute the way that Kolek does.  He's averaging 5.5 APG the last 10 games.  McBride and Shamet COMBINE for less than 5 APG for their career bests.  That is what will get TK minutes.

If you dislike Jimmy, then yes its not a great look. Otherwise, that is some of the most mundane trash talk you will ever see.  Any white guy who has played competitive basketball in a racially diverse environment has been called "white boy", in both complimentary and taunting fashion.  Unclutch your pearls.
