Mavs looking to trade OMax.  Hope he finds a new team that give him an opportunity.

MU82

Sucked that he got hurt last season after Luka was traded. He lost a chance to get serious PT and showcase his ability.

Wow. At least he still gets paid.

Maybe being a free agent will be better for him than getting traded would have been because he'll have more choices.

Feel like this was inevitable considering who they drafted

I'd take him over having Andre Jackson on the roster.

Further proof for BCHoopster that Shaka doesn't develop players.

If Dallas wasn't gonna use him, this isn't necessarily a bad outcome vs. getting traded.

Now, he gets to "choose" his next home if there are multiple interested parties.. if he does get signed for 2025-26... his first year salary would have some partial offset, albeit small.. Mavs owe $3M... partial offset would only be around $500k... so, Dallas will be paying him ~$800k/year for the next three years under a scenario where he's signed for this year... and then he makes whatever he can negotiate less $500k for this season (and no partial offset for future years).

Now, if there are no takers.. not so great. But the $$ is still there.

Nice. Two-way contracts have resulted in good things for many former Marquette players.

This month's Marquette alumni e-newsletter has a great 2-minute video of Oso talking about what makes our alma mater a special place to play basketball and grow as a person.
