Yep.  Always thought they were dumb.  The awards that matter are handed out after a teams respective season.  Teams and players don’t need ESPNs blessing.  Stupid and useless.  Surprised these athletes even go.  Must be good parties afterward.

You’re surprised athletes go to something celebrating athletes?

Ha!  No.  Must be good parties.  The awards likely mean nothing to them.

Ask Curry whether a finals MVP or an Espy for best male athlete means more?  I think he would start laughing.

I know which one means more and agree the ESPYs are dumb but it’s still a chance to celebrate being an athlete and they love their egos getting stroked

True.  I shouldn’t have said “surprised”.

Apparently enough people watch the ESPYs to sell enough ads to justify their existence.

It doesn't bother me at all that they exist. Why would it? And I'm sure it doesn't bother ESPN at all that I have never watched even one second of one ESPY telecast. Why would it?

It's filler for the day after the All Star Game. Probably the only day on the calendar with none of the major four leagues or college sports playing.

Exactly.  There's no NBA, NHL, college basketball, or college football going on.  It's the middle of the week so no golf is going on.  And it's the middle of a 162 game MLB season where the games don't mean much and there aren't even any games being played on the day.  It's fun to see the highlights from the past year of athletics, and the awards like the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage and the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance are usually pretty cool features.

If they aired this on a Sunday night of Week 5 of the NFL would I be glued to ESPN?  No.  But I'd probably go back and watch the Jimmy V and Arthur Ashe Awards on Youtube at some point.  As it is, I watched the last 2 hours after we got home from dinner because what else was on TV?

After a night out with the better half,  you watch the ESPYs? Who said romance is dead.

It seems like Kur Kuath is headed to play in Greece.

That's a solid club that finished near the top in a very good Greek League.  Good for him.

I’m not sure there’s a path to a trade, but he’d be really good on the Bucks in my opinion. Some added toughness and shooting.

Thought Bucks roster is full with recent signings? I might be wrong...

I like Joe Ingles, but I'd definitely trade him for Jae.  Not that it'll happen, but both have expiring contracts at the end of the year, and the Bucks will be lucky to get a healthy Ingles for half of the season.

It would take a trade to get Jae. I’m not really sure what the Bucks have to offer other than Grayson Allen, so I don’t know that the Suns would trade with the Bucks.

Jae could slide into the PJ role beautifully, but you're right, I don't think the Bucks have enough to get it done.
