I'd love to work in the Arby's product development team.

Hey, how can we make this stuff better?

How about bacon?  And bourbon?   Let's try both.
Back in the day the original Arby's shaved roast beef sandwich was without peer. That Horsey sauce was a serious condiment. They have continued the quality tradition to this day.

Red Delicious =  Foul Line in baseball

Discuss

I'd say Red Delicious = Sideline in basketball

The foul line is technically in play, so you might even get extra bases. The sideline is out of bounds, so you lose the ball.

That's a really bizarrely constructed paragraph. The first two sentences definitely indicate a fall off in quality. The third contradicts that. I mean, why even reference "back in the day" if "the quality tradition" is still intact?

When they actually shaved real beef off of a real round roast Arby's sandwiches were delicious.

I can't speak for today but the "beef" doesn't look nearly as appetizing.

Sanity check: everyone extolling the quality of ________ fast food chain is being sarcastic without using teal right?

The only excuse for anyone over 30 to eat fast food (specific to the Scoop community therefore it would be a dietary choice and not a socioeconomic forced situation) is if they are on a road trip in the middle of nowhere or they are clinically hung over.

Nope.  I love Big Macs.  I will occasionally go grab a #1 Value Meal for lunch even though other options are available.

And an occasional Sausage McMuffin with Egg and some hotcakes make a fine breakfast.

I would never extol the virtues of fast food.    However, sometimes circumstances dictate.

I never knew that there were so many fanatical Arby's roast beef sandwich fans out there.

So, just curious  - What year (how long ago) do you think they transitioned to a formed loaf product ?

I think I might know the answer

Most of the time, I agree with you. But I could eat Raising Cane's 6 days a week and twice on Sundays.

This.  Mixed in with an occasional Culver's run.

This is how I view it. Even on road trips, I bring better food along.

Love a good Taco Bell $5 box on occasion, and I have a fantastic Mexican place less than a mile away from me.

Had a friend who worked at an Arby's when he was in high school (So, 7-8ish years ago) and he said he would never eat there again after seeing what went into the sandwiches. Im very content with being blissfully unaware of what goes into fast food chains.

a) color me surprised at the sincerity of fast food opinions.  If you didn't eat it for 6 months i bet you'd never go back.  The taste is just 'odd'.

b) this account is brilliant.  thanks for sharing.

Had two McDonald's breakfast burritos on a 6 hour drive home on Sunday.

Had the Hershey squirts for the rest of the day and next morning. I haven't had McDonald's or fast food in years...

Can't blame the fast food though, this bowel issue could also be linked to the giant massive hangover I had due to an abundance of Vodka Redbulls I had during the McGreggor fight.

I am going to have a breakfast burrito tomorrow at the Broken Yolk. Best breakfast burrito on the planet. Wouldn't be surprised if Arby's sends some spies over and then starts serving them across the globe.

Best breakfast burrito in Wisconsin maybe.  But the best breakfast burrito in Wisconsin is still the worst breakfast burrito in Texas.
