Body types at PF and C
« on: June 02, 2017, 10:13:32 AM »
At center, skill sets being equal, would you rather have 7' and 230, or 6'9 and a muscular 250?

At PF, skill sets being equal, would you rather have 6'9 , 225 or 6'7 240?

If their skill sets are equal, what does it matter?

Two 6'9" guys.  One would be a banger, and the other a stretch player.

Honestly, depends entirely upon our guards ability to slash and/or shoot from range. Don't want any of it if at least the PF can't shoot from range.

Big men these days are primarily rim protectors, screeners, and as a stretch player(shoot consistently from range).

Ox and Hank would have been quite the 4/5 combo.

You mean in that they would have given up every point defensively that they would have scored on the other end?

IMHO,  I would like the 7' 230lb center and at PF a 6'7" 250lb beast.

Depends on the relative neck circumference.
Have some patience, FFS.

Give me a tall and lean center and a wide and muscular PF. One protects the rim, the other cleans up the boards.
