I think we are a 7 right now...anything other than an 8 or 9 please. I'll take a 7, 10, 11, or 6

Beat SHU - Nova - Butler handedly in BET, and committee is going to give that a protected seed, so without looking at any of the projected 3s-4s-5s, I'd say MU's ceiling is a 4 seed at this point.

Honestly, we could drub them all by 20 and we wouldn't get a 4. Forget the resume, there's no way they consider the conference tournament that heavily. Unless we're already viewed as a 5-seed.

Creighton will get a head-scratching seed likely do to their PG's suspension and injury.  Remember when McNeal played for us, but the committee was concerned he wouldn't and they dropped Marquette from something like a 5/6 to an 8, I think?

When will MU send out ticket forms? Used to be in January.

Agreed. Winning the BET wouldn't get us into the 16-20 range in AP polling, which is where a 4 seed typically sits...

A 4 seed would typically be between 13-16 but either way it's not happening.

I'll say a 6 max, 10 minimum.

MU had probably earned a no worse than 5 in '07 when McNeal got hurt, got dropped IMHO to a 7, then caught in a bad bracketing spot that dropped them to an 8. MU couldn't be a 2, 3, 6 or 7 that year because Gtown, Pitt, UL and ND where all ahead of them in the BE pecking order and were already seeded ahead of them in those spots in the tourney, when the tourney had a hard-and-fast rule that teams couldn't potentially teams from their own leagues until the Final 8. So earned a 5, dropped to a 7, a necessary bracketing principle dropped them to an 8.

Going 10 minutes without a point against Michigan St made it null-and-void anyways. 1st game I really started to question Crean as a coach. A year later he was gone.

In hindsight, I was ok with that result. Met Mrs. Headband the next day.  She and her friends then joined us the following night for some St. Patrick's Day bar hopping.

Had Marquette beat Michigan State, I would have been watching UNC crush us that St. Patrick's Day instead.

I think you're misinterpreting the term "ceiling."
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Is there a connection between speech slurring and PED's.  Dude sounded like Stallone out there.

Really hope we stay off the 8/9 seed.  Believe we can beat a 5 or 6 seed as a 12/11 seed, and like chances of beating a potential 3 or 4 seed in Round 2.

We absolutely will be a team NO higher seeded team wants to face in Round 1 or 2.  Our 3-ball is frightening to any coach.  McDermott said as much post game - you have Rowsey, Howard, Hauser, Reinhardt on the floor, what do you do?  And when Johnson goes 4-7 from 3 too?

My guess:  Lose to Hall 1st Round 11,  Beat Hall, lose to Nova:  9

There's no way on earth we are a 7 right now. I believe the best we can hope for with a loss to Seton Hall is a 10. A 11 is probably more likely, but not a Dayton play-in. I believe the Creighton win puts us past the risk of that happening.

With a win against Hall and a relatively close loss to Nova, I'm guessing our best possible seed is a 9.

A win against Nova and things change drastically. I'm guessing that bumps us to a 7. Win the whole damn thing in New York and 6 is not out of the realm of possibility.
