Lunardi had UW as the 5 playing in North Carolina the other day. First game UNC-Wilmington, second game Duke.

I see little Badger paws orbiting Jupiter and Badger debris mixed in with the asteroids after the Blue Devils get through with them.

I'm kind of curious about the how Gard is viewed in Badger land. He brought that team back last year, but they were talented and Bo was checked out. They lose a lot of players and it seems like they've been lost any time Koenig has been out or not played well.

His recruiting seems to be pretty good, and they seem to always have guys step up. Just will be interesting to see how they finish the year.

My Badger friends are cautiously optimistic.  Part of their problem is that the recruiting coming off the Final Fours wasn't as good as it should have been.  They are going to need to have some people step up an fill roles that they haven't been used to filling.  So I think Gard will show how he can develop players through next season.

While true, I don't think the NCAA will want to penalize a highly ranked opponent forcing a road game on them.  I would be pissed as hell if that were my school.

Question. Is Butler allowed to play in Indy as that is not its home gym?
The Horizon League and IUPUI of the Summit League are the host for the Indy site.

He's fallen back into old habits from last year. He looked like he found himself earlier this season, but he's slipped back into doing  too much.

To be fair, no one except Hayes thinks he's the best player on that team. Happ is a bad man.

One more thing.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why they never offered Sam Hauser a scholarship. His shooting is exactly what that UW team needs right now.  From what I understand, the only reason we got him was because of this mistake.  And it could cost them his brother too.

Bucky also should have lost 2 other games right before they're stretch.  In one game, they were down 7 in the last minute, and the other team couldn't make a FT.

Yep.  Should have lost to Rutgers and Nebraska as well.  Were very lucky to escape those games with Ws.

Kinda like being a 3 seed and having to play 6 seed Murray State in Louisville...
Yes, because they're not the host.

Yeah, that was a freakin' sweet victory to be wearing the gold in the little Marquette section behind the bench.  I still vividly remember Junior getting up in Jae's grill. 'NOW you MFer!' Priceless.

I don't think there's any "could" about it. Joey isn't going to UW.

If they had offered Sam, they likely have both. And two good players.

I wouldn't exclude the Badgers from consideration here...

I think Bucky still has a slim shot.  Let's not call this #donedeal just yet.

As a ticket holder for the NCAAs here at the BC I hope they get placed here. Will make for better atmosphere and higher $$ if I chose to sell.

I would. And I am.

He will consider them until the end. He's not going there. Not necessarily saying he's coming here, but I'd be shocked if he went to UW

(Hope I don't have to eat crow on this one)

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Koenig is playing hurt. I heard somewhere that college basketball is a guard's game.

There is a motion on the floor for Benny B to win the Internet for the day.

Most seats are sold at the Bradley Center. Only upper deck seats behind the baskets are left.

Tickets sold and people in the seats are two different things. If UW is not in Milwaukee, thousands of those seats will be empty. Look at most first- and second-round games. Half-full arenas even if the tickets are sold.

And the NCAA couldn't care less.  Get money, get paid, ai'na?

Still think Gard is a a great coach and the Badgers will be fine. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a run in the NCAA Tourney.

I believe Butler could play in Indy.  Remember a few years ago Villanova cut back on the number of games they played at Wells Fargo so they could play there in the tournament if they were in that region.  I think that was a regional site and not the first 2 rounds but don't think makes any difference.

It's not just the money, it's the NCAA showcase games being played in front of thousands of empty seats on national TV. If there is a way to get UW in Milwaukee, it will get done.
