Huge advantage for MU that Xavier has to play tonight @providence and then travel to Milwaukee.   Have to take advantage of the extra prep and rest, something Xavier won't have.

MU Basketball is a roller coaster. We may very well have a 3 game upswing.

As far as the tourney,
10-8 gets us in guaranteed. 4-1 finish and a BET Loss to a quality team and some serious quality wins. Forget RPI and this and that. It will shake out. We are in.

9-9 is iffy.
If SH shows up and finishes 10-8, they look shinier than us with a game better record. We would have to beat them in the BET. 6 BE teams would be a stretch with a weak #6 being MU.
If SH out, then still need a win and probably 2 in BET.  18-13 no way, 19-13 looks ugly. Now RPI and quality wins and bubbliciousness are factors. Real sweat on Sunday.

8-10 no way unless 4 BET wins.

IF and it's a big IF Bluiett doesn't play and MU can't handle this particular Xavier team, especially after a week off...

NCAA looks at RPI more than just about anything else. Our current rpi is 85. SH is 49, GT is 59 and Prov. is 68.
Make your own conclusions on our chances of making the dance and make your bets.
You didn't read about that meeting the committee had? They are lowering RPI emphasis

That's true but with our remaining games our RPI will be much improved and hopefully we can win 3-4 of them.
I still have faith in this team. One week to prepare...we better bring it.

It's not really true. They are moving away from it. I'm increasingly confident that we are in decent shape at 9-9

I am very confident that we make at least the first four at 9-9. I think we're playing to get above the first four in the BET at 9-9. That said, we gotta get there first. If you disagree, please look at the final 8-10 spots and start analyzing the teams, and then get back to me.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I do not know anything about Bueitt's injury, but without him Xavier has a good chance of going from 8-5 to 9-9. They play @MU, @ Seton Hall, Butler, MU and @DePaul.

Ther could be several teams finishing 9-9. The winner of the 4-5 game gets a bid.
