Great year? His ORtg is lower & turnover rate higher compared to everyone on the Marquette roster

9-46 from 3......yikes

He is rebounding well and shooting a nice percentage on 2s......

I found out after I posted it that it was a mock-up designed to encourage people to do it.

Perhaps Marquette should have done the same.

That would've been cool.

They would have spent too much time photoshopping students to make the student section look full though.

Every time I remember MU is trying this "stripe out" when:

1.) Crean and Buzz both tried single-color "Gold outs" unsuccessfully
2.) That the section-specific t-shirts must be purchased
3.) At a venue other than the Bradley Center

All I can think is...

So... we should wait until the cupcakes are cool before we put on our shirts?
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

So Glow and I have been on campus for 24 hours at this point,  and have spoken to dozens of people who will be attending the game tonight.  I am not exaggerating when I say that everyone  says that they will be wearing the appropriate color for their section.

I am hopeful.

Wife is mad at me because she hates t-shirts, but she's wearing the appropriate color.

What color am I supposed to be wearing while sitting on my couch watching the game? No guidance from the Athletic Department. Sad.

Students are compliant.  So are most of the alums in here at 21:00 before tip. (At least in the lower bowl. Not so much upstairs.)

Wish they'd panned around to show it on TV (if they did I missed it.)

My opinion....fans did well.  But, MU should have just limited it to navy and gold.  It would have stuck out more that way, and I think been better executed.

And yes, Tennessee Orange is exponentially more obnoxious than Marquette Gold.

The only thing I agree with you in this post.

Please don't ever again compare our academically gifted and brilliant college to the massive kindergarten passing itself off as a university in Knoxville.

Until we have an alphabetical studies major, we'll always be superior to the University of Tennessee.

I would say that it worked fair.  If you knew what was supposed to be happening, then you noticed it, but otherwise you wouldn't have suspected that anything special was going on.

Another view from the corner of the lower bowl in the first half. Lower bowl looked pretty good, upper kinda got worse as you looked further up (but who's looking at the top of the upper bowl)?

Great crowd tonight.

I noticed that at least two of the sections where the visiting fans get tickets (right behind X bench and upper bowl southwest corner) were in the Navy sections, so even the X fans helped out stripe out.  I'm going to give Athletics the benefit of the doubt and say it was intentional.

I actually had forgotten about it until I noticed an entire navy blue upper deck section and thought, "Damn, that's a TON of Xavier fans."  Then it hit me what was going on and I looked around and noticed it was solidly done.

Upper bowl wasn't great except that Sections 403-406 were impressive.  I counted less than ten people who weren't wearing navy in those sections.

Gotta say it was much better than I expected. The only thing that really hurt was people wearing gold in navy or baby blue sections.  It really stuck out.

Nicely done though.

Yeah, it was OK.  I'd say the compliance was around 70% or so, so it kinda worked.
