Really fun to watch. Buycks, my goodness, best player on the court and it's not even close.

Up 51-27 at half. Chapman is hot and Jamil has 3 3s. Buycks looks good but they take an awful lot of 3s.

Chapman should slow down a bit. Jacking threes early and often. Doubt there's a mercy rule, so may as well start killing some clock.

Looks like Jamil's been working on his long range J.  He's hit five already.

::) ::) ::) He's shooting well, wide open, and the team is up by 30. Loosen up and enjoy watching some fun basketball with Marquette's name attached.

Well to be fair, may just be some recency bias. These guys can shoot,  our more recent teams can't.

Busy at work for most of this, but I came in to see Chapman miss three longballs in about a 30 second span, and no hesitation on any of them. Didn't realize at the time he was 4/4 on the rest of his long-range efforts for the day ;)

The best thing that ever happened to Dwight was going overseas. He always had the raw ability to be a really good player, but there was just so much playground in him when he was here. Buzz started to get him playing PG a little as a senior, but that entire year he looked like a scorer being forced to play the point. I don't think Buzz expected to need him there, but Junior just wasn't ready.

But man, Europe tempered his game. Much smarter player, understands his role so much better now, knows when he can take over. Still tries to force it a bit too much at times, and still has some of that playground game in him, but I think that swagger helps make him good when he's at his best. Really glad to see how far he's come.

Honestly, that's my favorite thing about this. You actually get a chance to see those players who in many ways for us, time forgot. Can't wait to see Gardner next week. That'll be fun.

Who would have thought that years later we would be Dwight Buycks and Joe Chapman.

I was always a big Chapman fan.  He was never the star (overshadowed by DWade and Diener, then the Amigos), but he was a steady, dependable guy who always contributed.

Thrilled to see that he's still playing so well.
