I meant once in a lifetime recruit for MU. He is not Kobe or Lebron obviously. Guys at that talent level wouldn't even consider MU though where the program is at right now. Yes all my posts have been about Herro. I want this team to win. We need elite players like this not run of the mill guys. UW is recruiting him stronger right now that needs to change.

Mr. or Mrs. Herro, please ignore the posters who want to dissect the meaning of "once and lifetime" and make a big deal out of nothing. Rest assured, I think I speak for most of the Marquette fan base when I say that Tyler Herro is one of our two top priorities for the 2018 class. I think Wojo will be zeroed in on both Herro and Joey Hauser. Our sincere hope is to see your brother/son/nephew/self in blue and gold come 2018.

Also, Mr. and Mrs. Herro, if you or your son base even one iota of your decision on what we mopes here at Scoop say ... well ... good luck making an informed decision because every school has message boards filled with mopes.

We haven't had a guy that talented since way back when Henry Ellenson was here. Anyone old enough to remember those halcyon days?

I am glad you are supporting Herro. I am backing Kostas. Maybe we can get both.

Wait!  What?  You need to be clearer on your preferences, this didn't come across at all.

Cheesy - I hope you don't take anything on this board, except the well wishes for perspective Warriors, serious at all.

We aren't recruiting Kostas so you are going to be disappointed....

It looks like St. Johns is now getting weak kneed on Kostas per their message board.

They are suspicious that we aren't interested.

So Herro and Kostas each has 1 super delegate. How many needed for automatic commit?
Goal is National Championship

And they also imply that he can't be any good because he's only from Wisconsin.  God I hate everything east coast.

Well, at least Herro has legitimate D1 interest, including an offer from Marquette, so the hopes of him coming to Marquette at least make sense.  Kostas...well...it's just kind of odd.

CheesyMUfan4ever

Crean just gave us a wake up call. It would sicken me if he steals him away. Herro will make this program great again.

Where is that implied? The only mention I saw was asking why UW and MU wouldn't offer him if he was any good. I would wonder the same thing

Back a few pages.  No biggie.

I wouldn't rip on him too much. He took us to our only final four in 30 years and if he gets Herro, Indiana will be back in the final four.

With his elite level of athleticism, it was almost sad watching other players try to compete.

I still don't see it. Read the entire thread. One guy wondered why he only averaged 10 and 6 playing in Wisconsin and it's a perfectly fine question. Don't think it rises to the point of spilling out some sort of self esteem issue with an entire coast of the country (which I surmise to be really more of an anti-NYC thing then, you know, a whole 14 state conglomerate thing).

Well that wouldn't be hard because he'd have Herro.  Just think if you had a team of five Herros you could go undefeated for the year with a point differential of 40+.  The big question is if you had a team of mini-Herros where all of them were three feet tall, would you still win the Big East?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Not that your infatuation wasn't absurd to begin with, but you've reached a whole new level.

Might cause a lot of roster turnover. With Herro starting at all 5 positions and playing every minute, others might be inclined to transfer in search of more playing time. Still, he is a once in a lifetime player and if you have to sacrifice the rest of the roster to get him, you better do it.
