I'm not sure how we get Ike away from Michigan State and Michigan.  I hope Wojo makes an impression.

Izzo spent a whole bunch of time landing Ike Eke's teammate, Cassius Winston, but hasn't offered IE yet.

Have we made an offer yet to Jericho?

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Jericho is a terrible defender. Looks like a brick wall but it usually falls apart in the end. Especially when guarding guys named Joshua.

Posted this in the recruiting thread but then found this one. Mark Miller predicted 6'9 2017 PF Ike Eke to MU.

I mean, in general I agree it's a pretty worthless tool. But Mark is pretty connected to MU recruiting.

Yes. If Mark says something to someone, I'm interested. If he clicks a button on 247sports.com for entertainment, I'm not.

The cristal bowel is a little marketing game for the website.

For people like Mark, participating dilutes their respect from some but increases their following by the masses, IMO.

(Not personal comment on him.. just an example and in general.. and I guarantee there are those who would confirm.)

Mark predicts Ted Kalif Young to Marquette too.  Hope he is correct.

Well if you believe Mark Miller and the Crystal Ball, MU recruiting for 2017 might be over.  French, Ike, and Theo John all to MU.  Three front court players for sure,
I assume John starts as a freshman at center or Heldt, and if Young does not make it her Ike or French would start at the the 4.  Then Carter, Rowsey or Howard
at the point, DWilson or Cheatham at the 2 and Hauser or Cheatham at the small forward.  Cohen outside playing time somewhere.

Young team the following year.

John is a 6'8" power forward.  I'm pretty sure Heldt will be a two year starter at center.

Careful with 'positions'.

More importantly, John is an interior guy, both O and D

Young team the following year.

I could easily see Young getting developed as a center at MU, so even with Young on board, Ike or French could start at the 4.  Their biggest obstacle to starting could be the four guard lineup option.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Exactly. I doubt Mark Miller believes the crystal ball (his own picks). He's playing a fun lil game.

Is his knowledge valuable? His insights meaningful? ABSOLUTELY. But his cristal bowel picks? No.

We need a couple of  those to compete with the type of teams we play in our conference. Michigan State has a never ending stockpile of these type of players.

Probably should just have 4 or 5 of those guys on the roster at all times, yeah?

I enjoy your love for Marquette basketball but you really don't actually understand a lot about [college] basketball, do you?

I can't wait for "Pogo Stick" to match up against "switchables" in this year's meme tourney
