Really? A technical on Willard? Its the NCAA's - give the coaches a little more rein.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

What's with the lazy straight arm there?

Herman Cain

Seton Hall with typical first round jitters. They are also playing what is effectively a road game.

Whitehead trying too hard to make things happen. He just needs to let the game come to him .

This is embarrassing.

Absolutely dreadful
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

CountryRoads

Seton hall is embarrassing themselves out there.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Still doable. Biggest comeback in the NCAA tourney I can remember is 15 points in 4 minutes.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

Don't see any path to victory for Hall. Whitehead way off offensively. Delgado 4 fouls. Lousy FT shooting. Gonzaga effective bigs.

PGsHeroes32

This free throw shooting is absolutely hilarious

Herman Cain

That airball free throw never got above 8 feet high

Oldgym

Airmailed the front end. Hall looks gassed in every way.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Gonzaga gonna get rolled by Utah next round.

Norm

Horrible free throw shooting for Seton Hall and now Delgado fouls out with 4:45 to play. Comeback not looking too promising right now.

PGsHeroes32

Whitehead is just gonna keep missing. Simply doesn't care

Where the hell was this Seton Hall team when we played them this year?

PGsHeroes32

If this was a Marquette tourney game. I'd be dead

Spaniel with a Short Tail

Bedtime. I put a lot of faith in this team in my brackets and rewarded with this.  :-\ :-\ :-\

Herman Cain

Seton Hall with a lack of experience in the tournament. It showed.

You're an NBA GM and the pick is yours. who are you taking...sabonis or Henry ? Sabonis plays really hard and more physical but I think Henry has a bit higher of a ceiling.

Oh and seton hall really played god awful tonight. Overall though, I think the big east had a good first round and couldn't ask for more (baring an epic bed crapping tomorrow).

BM1090

It sucks that SHU lost because I thought their ceiling was high and they were built for the tournament, but they just did not play well tonight. Still, the conference won 2 of the 3 toss up games today and has what should be two easy ones tomorrow.

Wasn't this game in Denver?  I've spent some time there, the altitude is very influential on performance.  I know both teams had to deal with the thin air, but it may have had more negative influence on S.H.....

Yeah.  They showed Whitehead taking Oxygen at one point.
I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.

I've been following the Yale team all season.  They have a really good core of players with Sears, Sherrod & Mason.

They are fun to watch -- yesterday was the first game of theirs I have taken in despite living miles from the arena.  By the way, perfect David vs. Goliath atmosphere in Providence.  Baylor comes out in warm-ups and starts working on dunks while Yale is working on skills (free throws, 3-pointers, back door cut layups).  Baylor didn't even figure out who on Yale was good enough to guard until ~5 mins left in the first half.  Of course the whole crowd got behind Yale from the start.  Fun atmosphere.  Based on Duke's squad this year, if the PG can keep up the hot shooting - they may have a shot at the S16.

To quote (yet again) Abe Lemmons'  view of basketball in general, and the NCAA tournament in particular, "If you ain't got guards, you ain't got sh*t."

Seton Hall had no guard play at all, as in zero, and, as such, didn't have "sh*t."
