He actually played from 1988-90.  But he was also ineligible for a year as well.
I actually played 87-90.  I was ineligible after 12 games freshman year, and came back sophomore year, and got trophy as "supersub" (woohoo).

My Joe Nethen story.  We were both freshmen living in McCormick.  Late one Saturday night I think I said some smart-assedy thing to him after having a few too many and he started chasing me around in front of the building.  I tripped and fell, and Joe got right up over me, picked me up, slapped me on the head and said "next time keep your mouth shut."  And I did.

Joe, thank you very much for not kicking my ass that night.

Wasn't it Joe who started that brawl against Northwestern at the Mecca?
Somebody needs to find that video!

I remember Pat Foley under the table brawling. It was the last game before break or 1st day into break. It was a great episode in MU spirit for my dad to see with his son.
