I don't feel bad for them at all. They chose to play for a shady coach who runs shady programs. If a player elects to play for a coach like Pitino, Larry Brown, Kelvin Sampson, etc then they have to recognize that sanctions may eventually be a part of the deal. They took the risk and got burned.

Except Brown and Sampson are serial NCAA violators. Pitino isn't. He's never been on probation despite coaching college ball for nearly 40 years.
