Why do you focus on Stan so much? Do you prefer Stan as our coach and Wojo somewhere else?

I think he has made that quite obvious.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

An assistant coach has a philosophy?  That matters?
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Jemarl would be a great get this late in the game for many reasons. But one thing I really like is his shooting rep. Buzz was building the brand of toughness, Wojo has an opportunity to build his brand around shooting. Wouldn't mind one bit if we became known as the school where the best shooters in the nation go.
I agree with this analysis.

It mattered to :
1. Markus Howard
2. Brendan Bailey
3. Theo John
4. Jamal Cain
5. Ike Eke
etc

Other than that it doesn't matter.

Just because Stan recruited them doesn't mean it was his philosophy that brought them in. I sense that it's more his ability to connect with them personally rather than philosophically. Still an important trait, but not the same by any means.

I am just saying that Jemarl posted a quote that was straight out of the Sta philosophical  playbook. I actually like what Jemarl said and the fact that his team won a state championship in CA which is a big achievement.

Amauri Hardy, a PG from Michigan headed to Ok State has opened his re-opened his recruitment.  Perhaps a name that may be of interest should Wojo not have luck with any of the PG transfer options (Evans, Lewis, Rideau, amongst others).

Hopefully one of the 2017 guards that have re opened their commitment  will sign with MSU, that would leave the Elliot recruitment between MU and Cooley  Enterprises.

Why does the player's philosophy only sync with Stan's? What about Wojo? Or any other coach? Or our university? Or any other current player on MU?

Are you new here?

According to 247 sports we are back in the lead for Elliot! Would be great to have a triple from the state of Michigan. We get a lot of athletic basketball players next year! Love it! Elliot would be icing on the cake.

Pretty much sounds like "maybe they'll want to play together, so I'm going with it" and everyone else jumped on board. We'll see what happens, not letting myself get too stressed either way.

So who has the better skill set Cain or Elliot? It"s nice that the kids would like to play together, but I wonder how that would affect team chemistry if Wojo recruited someone who is definitely better than Elliot in a succeeding class. Just thinking of the Traci Carter( rated higher than Elliot?) situation. Still wished the kid would have toughed it out as I think we could have won a couple of those close games we lost if he had stayed. Then again what do I know.

So Creighton has a crack at the top guy.

Bruce Bowen plays high school ball with the Aussie Jabob Epperson, a Creighton commit.

Jaren Jackson, who committed to Michigan State, is on the same La Lumiere squad, and many feel Bowen may follow him to MSU.

So holy crap!  as someone with 3K+ posts we all assumed that you were familiar with MUFINY's position that firing WOJO and promoting Stan is the ONLY way Marquette returns to greatness*.

*"greatness" defined as how the user defined our capabilities as a program, mostly dependent on their age and geographic proximity to campus.

Wow ... you've finally contributed something to this board.

I hope we can land Elliot. I do. But I'm not gonna be too torn up if we don't.

In other news, decided to watch a couple Brendan Bailey videos while on YouTube. My lord.

I know you gotta take these videos with a grain of salt, but the thought of him, Markus and Sam spreading the floor is a beautiful thing.

Eh.  It's a lot of one sentence statements and vague comments. I want concrete views that no can misinterpret. For someone who preaches so much about philosophies and standards and beliefs, let's hear his regarding MU - where it is and where it should be.

I get tired of someone making passive-aggressive comments toward our players and staff without having the stones to come out and be definitive. At least the chicken-littles make clear where the stand.
