Kager is not Kon, nor is he anywhere near it.  Kon was way more physical, way more skilled, and way more athletic.  There's a reason he was a 5 star, top 20 recruit that was dominating top 100 camps and some analysts thought would lead Duke in scoring, ahead of Flagg.  And there's a reason Kager is mostly regarded as outside of the top 100, even with having the last name Knueppel.

I'd be fine with him coming to Marquette.  He's not some can't miss prospect like Kon Hamilton was, though.

Sorry. I just couldn't resist.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

You did? When he was playing at WLHS you thought he would be one and done, a lottery pick, and the leading candidate for NBA ROY? Well done!

People are missing the point. MU has a roster that is low on basketball IQ. The Knueppels know how to play. (Watch a clip of the Flying Knueppel Brothers) My comment was only that MU likely could do worse than recruiting Kager because he very likely can shoot and pass and very likely has a high basketball IQ. I never said he'd be as good Kon or that he was "can't miss." He could, however, be better than a few guys on the current roster.

The bolded isn't exactly high praise.

Lottery pick and one and done, yes.

wades was all over Kon, and a few Scoopers even poked fun at wades for predicting greatness for him.

Do we need more 'finesse'? Worse guys to add,no doubt. But,  but would rather have a rim protector, glass cleaner

We have a ton of "finesse" with lithe, athletic guys. We need toughness and brawn, what the announcers like to call "physicality." Our biggest weakness is down low (which, now that I type it, is saying something given the way we shoot threes).

Zog from Margo

Sorry I brought it up. It's likely a moot point. It's very unlikely he comes to MU. He already has offers from more successful programs and the family has no tie to MU.
