Agree that he needs to fix the roster in the offseason. Will he do what needs to be done? I sure hope so.

You can't say that your players suck.  Get a grip, man.

Right, not calling for him to do so. My phrasing in the second sentence wasn't the best, I am simply questioning the very questionable proposition that Shaka knows he overrated this team. I am not sure that's the case but would love to be proven wrong if I missed something.

Obviously not making this comparison but this reminds me of Wade his senior year. Had some absolutely massive performances like this.

I thought similar but relating to Ellenson rather than Wade.

Henry had some very crooked numbers in his Senior season.

I'm just glad Shaka finally got a guy who seems to be a natural scorer.

The upperclassmen on the roster, from Shakas first few classes, too many athletes who needed to develop offensively and just dont have that natural ability to go get a bucket when its needed.

Thankfully a few of the current freshman seem to be a little more natural offensively too.

Thats what made Kolek, Kam and even Jop special, they could go create and make a tough shot when the offense got stuck.

I could be wrong but I recall Wade having 2 back-to-back 30 or 40 point games during a Christmas tourney his senior year.

I agree.......he recruited too many athletes who weren't skilled basketball players.

You aren't wrong.....it was in a Xmas tournament I believe.

I just looked up Henry's HS stats and he scored 714 points in 26 games his Senior year. Almost averaged 30 so really hard to compare with the eras and competition being totally different. Man I would've loved to see Wade live in high school.

Henry was a man among boys against his high school competition........he was also kind of a gunner from what I remember.....at least in the few games that I saw.

Obviously a very talented kid at that age.

Kind of a gunner at MU too, but he was talented.

I took my son to see Wade's team play against Eddy Curry's team. Wade was spectacular, and I was super-psyched knowing he'd be going to Marquette.

Waiting that year he had to sit out was torture. I kept telling my friends, "Wait till you see Wade next year."
