Love how Buzz said the kid's life story is 1000% built on the right things, while his coach uses an A & M salary to recruit him to Maryland. Buzz probably figures College Station to College Park, so that excuses it. I realize it happens a lot more than we think.

Full game highlights of Egbuonu from over the weekend.  It will be fun to have a guy who wants to just bully people around the rim.  Havent had that in years.

Lots of playing time for talented basketball players.....Come to Marquette.....

From Egbuonu's 2nd game this past weekend.  Love the form and release on his jump shot, well coached.

Like I said, just wish he was bigger for the Big East. Marquette needs tough, dominant big guys to compete.

He's a 6'6", 220 lb 18 year old wing.  He's plenty big to play in the Big East, or any other conference.

The jump shot looks good and has good form, but that's known to be the weakness in his offensive game so hopefully he's continuing to work on that.  Looking only at full game highlights, it seems like his defensive effort will need to be much better in college.  But he looks like he might be the highest upside recruit in Shaka's time here.  Big, skilled dude.

I think Hayward and Crowder were 6'6".    They did ok at Marquette lol

Nope. They sucked. If Egbuonu can't grow to 7-2 and 290 pounds, Shaka might as well cut him along with the other dozen-plus players we have to dump.

In an interview when he committed last month he said he is 6'6, 230 with a 6'11 wingspan.

Plenty big enough to play the 4.  I am not saying he is Crowder, but I see him playing a similar role.  Short but bulky 4 comfortable playing inside and out.  Good compliment to the freshman guards and the length of Clark and Pearson at the 5.

Hopefully a good complement to them too, but I suppose if he says nice things about his teammates, that's cool too.

...maybe a "hot" take, I don't think anyone's postion is gaurnteed next year. I hope Shaka sole focus is on next year's team, not one two-three years from now. This team has 0 wins outside of Quad 4 "buy" games. The best win we have to date is an OT win at home against Valpo (NET rank of 222).
